Boreham Back: Riders sign kicker Boreham and receiver Sweed to practice roster



REGINA -

Sweed spent three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft. The Navasota, Tex., native had seven catches for 69 yards over 20 regular-season games for Pittsburgh.
He won a Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2009.

Forgot he got a ring - that just doesn't seem right does it? He has one and Lloyd & crew doesn't - timing I guess can be everything!

Not sure you noticed, but he didn't mean we signed him. it was the Seskatchawan RoughRiders, or something.

I always felt that he would have been a GREAT defensive player.

In that AFCCG, he blocked the snot out of some Raven... and that was one of many blocks where he decleated the other player.

Since he could nto catch, he could ahve been tried out at DB. I know, i know: it takes years to learn a new position. BUT, Ike played RB for a year or so in college, and then switched to CB as a senior. Why couldn't Sweed?

Anyway...

The Balls are bigger in the CFL, so maybe he has a chance.
