Not taking anything away from his performance lately, but he's going to need a few more than 0 INT's to make the Probowl

When did he do that? These guys need to shut up and play, damn!

Yeah, no matter how well he plays and shuts guys down, turnovers are the only thing that matter for getting to the Pro Bowl.

Not that the Pro Bowl matters anymore or anything...

He is definitely having a great season so far. That play against the Giants on 3rd and 5 where we made the blitz too easily identifiable. Lewis was supposed to be coming in on a cornerback blitz. Manning noticed and called it out. When the play started Lewis noticed that the protection came to him so instead he backed out of the blitz, got into the passing lane, and deflected the pass. That was a smart play. This guy has really shown improvement this year.

I think the idea is its less crazy, not if he gets in or not.

Same thing Harrison did when he intercepted the pass in the superbowl

he needs to start holding on to interceptions before he can get in.

however, revis island seems to be nonexistant this year so a previous shoe-in will probably no longer be there, creating an opportunity for keenan if he can seize it

Much improved......most definitely. Making plays and his presence felt.
Pro bowl caliber........not so sure about that.

Pro Bowl was crazy, but I always thought he could anchor down one side of the field at CB and now he is showing that he can.

Funny how all the preseason fans were hoping for Cortez Allen to win the #2 CB job and now they are jumping on the Keenan Lewis Bandwagon.

Revis went out for the season when he tore his ACL back in September. He's not in the running.

I know this dude is not getting a lot of int's, but he shut down Anquan B. All by himself and others he's played against. His cover skills are sweet!!!! MAJOR step up from what we had opposition of Taylor.

Doesn't matter... the perception of Revis never allowing his receiver to catch a ball EVER gets him into the Pro Bowl automatically.

He has 57 passes defensed while on crutches.

I was definitely on the Allen band wagon, but Lewis has shown that he will be a great CB..

Lewis has been really good as of late. BUT, he'd better watch it on those bump and runs. He's playing it really close and ref with a wild hair up his azz is going to call some of that.

I agree that the only thing really holding him back is the same thing that REALLY hurts Ike - Zero Interceptions. You have to make "Impact" plays and unfortunately just holding recievers in check doesn't cut it. No turnovers, no pro bowl. It's really that simple. Ike has had some really good years that essentially went unrewarded by his peers or PB voters for the same reason. Too bad cuz they are both playing really well!

ReFo: Ravens @ Steelers, Week 11

Sam Monson | 2012/11/20

Shutdown Corners

The Steelersí corners did a very good job, especially taking away the Ravensí deep threats. Torrey Smith often found himself bracket covered with a man over the top and underneath, and, consequently, of the six targets thrown at Ike Taylor only one was complete for just 5 yards. Perhaps the bigger surprise was the play of Keenan Lewis on the other side. With Taylor taking the deep threat, Lewis drew Anquan Boldin for most of the game, and didnít perform badly. He was thrown at 12 times overall and, though he gave up eight receptions they totaled 62 yards with just nine of those coming after the catch. He also notched himself a pass defense and was in good position most of the game.

Ike deserves to go before Keenan does. Holding AJ Green and Torrey Smith to 2 catches and 15 yards combined is ridiculous.

Didn't Keenan have one interception this year, or am I misremembering? Maybe he had one last year?

LOL, still a long way to the pro bowl, but he has shown enough to start for our team.

no interceptions for Keenan Lewis so far, only the one against the Titans this season that he dropped and would have won the game for us. if Lewis wants to go to the Pro Bowl he needs to catch passes that are thrown right to him.

and Lewis has 1 interception in his career, against the Chiefs last season.

Pro Football Focus heaps praises on Lewis for his performance against the Ravens while breaking down three plays. Worth reading: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/11/21/analysis-notebook-week-11-2/
