Those look resonable... There are a couple I disagree with, but who am I

IMO, I think the Cardinals defense is underrated. They spent an awful lot of time on the field last year which skued their stats of course. I think if the offense can help keep the D off the field just an extra 5 minutes or so then the Cardinals D is right up their amongst the great one, not a great one, but clipping the heels of the great ones.

Plus how can the Patriots have an overall of 90 when the O is 89 and the D is 88... you can't factor in ST because Mr Clutch is in Indy now... Doesn't matter though, I'm not getting the game... I'm waiting for the return of the 2K series (I'm not holding my breath though!)

I think they really tried to balance out the teams as much as possible in order to allow everyone to compete with their favorite team. The lowest overall rating is an 83 and the highest a 91.

The Bears/Steelers defenses should have been in the 90's with Bears being the best. I did like how they have the Bengals with the best offense though.

An 89 is comical. But whatever. I try not to bitch and whine unlike other fans throughout our wonderful league.

one - i wonder if by playing the game for a couple seasons you can improve your teams skill levels....

two - all nfc teams should be ranked lower by default. the best team in the nfc almost didn't get to play in the superbowl because they almost lost to the redskins. let me repeat, the REDSKINS! washington was NOT far off from being in the superbowl. how many of you would have been scared to play them? how many of you would rank them anywhere near us in skills?

not to mention - during the superbowl we played our absolute worst game of the season, probably of the decade, and still managed to SOUNDLY whip seattle.

so, how are their skills ranked higher than ours?

You need to check out the title of the game "Madden 07". There is one word in there that should really stick out... "Madden". I'm not sure if he has any say in what goes on in the game or the rankings but everybody knows he doesn't like the Steelers, so he probably said "I don't care if you give them (Steelers) good rankings I just don't want them to be the best, especially better than Seattle because they weren't!"

I don't know... :twocents:

yeah, that's true. didn't think about that part of it. i'd think the developers would have zero contact with him, though. just the sound engineers to record his rattled, old-person's voice.

"now, here, here, here's a guy who sounds like the cemetary."
