Obviously he isn't going to be back to rack up the numbers like Peyton or Rodgers due to the fact he is going to miss 2-3 games. MVP doesn't necessarily mean who has the best stats its whose most valuable. Of Course I am asking a question i already know the answer to so im going to answer it.

No Ben will not win MVP even if he deserves to win MVP. Even if he misses 3 games, comes back and throws for 500 yards 5 TDs and 0 INT in each of his final 4 games he wont win MVP because there is a conspiracy against the steelers (anyone watch the giants game) They want a pretty face like Aaron Rodgers or a Good role model like Eli Manning to win MVP just because Roger Goodell is a fag. Nobody wants to see Someone who likes to Get drunk and have sex win MVP, when he clearly deserves it, because then mothers wont let their children watch the game because of MONSTERS like big ben winning things. :drink:

This was the first year I have heard NFL Network and the main streamer's talking about Ben as a legitimate MVP candidate. Honestly I think it's P.Manning, that team turned from a goof ball brigade that somehow won games,. to a legitimate SB contender on his arrival alone. Plus he is #1 or #2 on the charts. I agree with you though, Ben was definitely in the run for it, but I don't think so now. IMO the MVP has to play 14 -16 games and it looks like Ben is going to miss most of the second half of the season, if not all of it.

I was very happy to see this news today, even if it's uncertain. To be honest, our goal at this point should be to split these two games with them, Ben or no Ben, and handle the Browns with Lefty. 2-1 is a perfectly reasonable result in these 3 games even if we did have our QB, and hopefully we'll have him back for San Diego at least.

As for the MVP talk, I agree that while this injury probably knocks him out of the running, he was a legitimate candidate up until he got hurt. Contrary to years past where our defense was lights out and BB's M.O was to make big plays at the end of the game to pull out close victories, this was truly Ben's year to carry the team. It make sense; he is in his prime as a quarterback. Here's to a speedy recovery, big fella.

I'm sensing a little sexual tension in the OP.

Ben was playing well, but these last two games I'm noticing a little desperate play from him. Not making the correct decision, trying to force it in etc. Still... Don't think it's a MVP type of season for him. Pro bowl yes....

Maybe if we lose every game he misses from injury then he comes back and win, that should be better proof that Ben is the MVP.

Side note, NE vs Indy. It's 24-567900 and they still have Brady in throwing it to rack up the score. That's how you get MVP in this league.

He's obviously not going to win MVP, and unless he miraculously comes back tonight, he probably won't even be in consideration. I too noticed the desperate play again, and I don't like it. I think without Brown on the field in the first half of the Chiefs game probably affected the passing game, correct me if i'm wrong. I probably am. I'm good at that. :chuckle:
