Bengals fans behave just fine

I have been going to Bengals games all of my adult life. It is one of the greatest things about Cincinnati. I have never seen Bengals fans overly intoxicated, rude, using foul language or exhibiting behavior abnormal or unacceptable for a football game.

It is a football game, and we love our football; people get loud. When there are isolated incidents, the police take care of it quickly, escorting the individual out. In fact, most people are very polite, even when they are a little loose. Cincinnatians are well-mannered, polite people. (Like those Bengals fans pictured in the Enquierer in handcuffs after the playoff game.......oops sorry, that was my contibution to this fairy tail!!))

Ever been to Cleveland, Pittsburgh or Detroit? I have seen many Pittsburgh fans, every time we play them at Paul Brown Stadium, incredibly drunk at the beginning of the game. They are incredibly foul-mouthed and rude. I have even been pushed down the steps by one of them. In keeping with the new policy, let's not let them in. We all know they don't play well with others.

Is this a real letter?

Someone must tell him about the "isolated incidents", since he's never seen one.

Alright well it seems as though this guy is living in serious denial. I have been going to the Steeler game in Cincy ever since I can remember and have only missed 1 game there in about 20+ years. I have actually only gone once where I didn't have problems with the fans and that was this year regular season....playoffs was a different story and the worst I have ever experienced. Some of my horribble experiences include:
-being spit on when I was about 8 yrs. old by three drunk grown men (and they tried to steal my Terrible Towel)
-when I was pregnant (and showing) a drunk idiot came up and pushed me off a bench I was sitting on yelling "who dey" (this was after they lost, so it shows you what an idiot he was) but him and some other Bengal fan got into because of that.
-Playoffs this year (like I said was the worst) from the second I got in my seat I had penuts thrown on me, a guy said and I quote "I would kick your ass, but you are too hot, so maybe I will just f*** the S*** out of you weather you like it or not", another guy grabbed my arm and threw me back on my seat when Palmer threw his 1 and only pass of the game...of course that's before the fool realized his qb was down on the ground." oh and so much more, but I was the one that had the last laugh!!!

That is just a few of the many experiences I have had in good old Cincy. I keep going every year because it make it much sweater when we kick their butts. I have been to a lot of games on the road and by far the Cincy ones are the worse (even when they suck). Cleveland was bad but not near that bad, and I have had no problems in Indy (went twice this year), Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Tampa Bay, and San Diego when I have been there to see the Steelers.

Now you have me worried about fans from the other team because I'm taking my wife to the Cardinal game this weekend and she's 32 weeks... wait... what I am talking about I'm going to the Cardinals stadium there is only going to be like 50 Cardinal fans... nevermind!

On a serious note, I haven't had much experience with dealing with other fans mainly because of my location and it's not to often the Steelers make it this way. But I have heard a lot of stories and it always seems like the Bengals and Browns fans come up the most as being DRS (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels)!

Wow, BBG7! I'm really sorry you had to experience all that.

What kind of guy would spit on and try to steal a Terrible Towel from an 8 year old girl?

What kind of guy would knocked a pregnant woman off a bench?

What kind of guy would be so nasty and use such crude language towards a woman?

Geesh... Bengals fans are nasty! :yuck:

The guy that pushed you off the bench while pregnant,he'd be in the hospital.

And the guy that threatened to rape you...well he'd get his c0ck chopped off and shoved in his mouth, then I'd call the cops.Anyhow,I thought every guy in Cinci was gay anyways.

Wow,Bungal fans are starting to seem lower-class than Ratbird fans...who woulda thunk it.
For the most part they are the worst in the NFL in my opinion...and what's funny is they have hated us for so long (before most Steelers fans knew they existed except for our 2 easy wins a year). It's all jealousy! A majority of them weren't fans 3 yrs. ago and it shows when they talk about football. They are so clueless about the game it's unbelievable, but it makes it funnier listening to them sound like idiots.

Just for the record, I do know true Bengal fans that have been there through thick and thin, and show a lot of class when it comes to the Bengals, and yes, I even like most of the people at the Lair...but for this person to claim that they have never seen a drunk and unruly Bengals fan has to be one of the biggest jokes I have ever heard. Hell, I think the Steelers are blessed with the best classy fans in the NFL, but to say I haven't come across a drunk or ignorant Steeler fan in my life would be a flat out lie.

OMG!! reading this make me wanna throw up!! I cannot believe that!! I was at the regular season game and the playoff game last year! Me and my boyfriend have been going for years. My aunt and uncle have season tickets to the bungholes they are true bengal fans have been there through thick and thin! So whenever my b.f and I get tickets they trade us so we can sit in the endzone. Well we have had some really bad experiances first off in 04 when the bungles were 8-8! My b/f got yanked 3 rows down and got punched in the head. A girl kept running her mouth all night to him trying to piss him off. Then after her and all her buddies got kicked out she started crying acting like she didn't do anything wrong!! I seriously wanted to punch her in the head. They ripped his BRAND new polomalu jersey and we got special seating for the last 5 min of the game! This last year we went back and had a really great time they were all so nice to us and greeted us when we sat down. But then during the playoffs they made a turn for the worst. I had a 40-50 year old man turn around and call me a Bitch, *****, everything under the sun basically. I told him to turn around repetedly and he never did. Then at the end of the game I had people pushing and shoving a very drunk ruthless girl trying to beat me up because her QB went down. It was the worst football experiance ever!!! I have never seen Pittsburgh fans treat visiting fans that way!!! It was so uncalled for!!! That Jerk line that they have is always busy so it's not even any use!!!

Hahaha, I've lived in Dayton ohio my entire life, and even though that's only an hour north, I have plenty of examples of bengals fans being rude jerks.. in and out of their stadium.

I'll start by saying that I have good friends who are Browns as well as Bengals fans. Fans anywhere, can be managable or incredibly bad. This is just an answer to someone who obviously goes to games wearing a blindfold.. and hasn't looked around much on the internet or even the area where he/she lives.

I'll start with a few personal examples. One of which, has made me realize that if you are a Steelers fan, you SHOULD NOT go to cinci wearing Steelers clothes. Yeah, there have always been fights at games as long as I can remember, but the last few years (coincidentally when people started jumping onto bengal-bandwagon) they've been worse, and not just in the stadium. The night of the playoffs last year, there were fights all over the place in bars and restauraunts.. even all the way up here. An hour north of cincinnatti. Not just one, either.. and even in a decent area restaurant there was a brawl, not a fight.. a brawl where several people were arrested. My brother called to tell me this while we were trying to get out of the stadium in one piece. I couldn't believe it, people were picking fights all over the stadium that night, the security couldn't handle it. It was like the fans were waiting for the security to go after other people first so they could get their hits in. ROWS of people were getting paint thrown on them. A guy I met on the way in the stadium left with blood all over him. He said he'd never come back.. as I'm sure was the feeling of more than just him. I saw girls get hit that didn't even do anything. Something like that shouldn't ever happen.. no matter how gross or nasty the girls are. lol. I think that's enough on the night of the playoffs game last year.

My sister has had one or more of her windows shattered on her car three times just last season, once with 'who dey' scratched into her car with most likely a key. The guys I work with Wear jerseys and hats but tell people under them they can't wear non-bengals NFL merchandise. (but they can wear NCAA merchandise.) lol, they were being awful ruthless to the guy who likes the browns today. I felt bad for him.

Lets see, they're quick to call people cheaters but quick to say they're not. They make internet videos and even songs about ONE hit.. from last season. They act like it was the end of his career. Some people have even gone as far as to portray it as a pre-planned thing.. like they're freakin' mobsters. If we beat the Colts, we could take the Bengals. Oh, and I'm tired of hearing "Lets see what happens when Carson plays." I love hearing that, and I hear it alot. I just say "What, this season is different. Where were you all those times we beat you last season?"

Sorry just pent up "I live around Bengals fans" feelings. If you get booed by someone you don't even know, chances are you're Bengals country. But theres also a pretty good chance they don't know anything about the team three years ago. I've said it before - I feel sorry for bengals fans that have been around for the bad and the good.. because now they have to put up with their new fans. Yaaarrrr. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I definately feel your pain. Do you remember 3 yrs. ago when you never saw anything Bengals anywhere!!! Not even in the Sports Memorabilla stores! Definately no one was wearing anything Bengals (and you still don't see any old merchandise)
However, I love wearing my Steelers stuff and letting the Bengals know we still own them and will for a very long time! :cheer:

Person A and not B, There are some great Steeler friendly places to hang out when you're in Cincy. I live north of the city. I've worn my Steeler gear all over with no problems....maybe a mouthy comment or two but nothing unexpected. I've got my CincySteelers decal on my car with no problem either. Sorry you've experienced such trouble. Check out Martinos the next time you're here...owned by former Pittsburghers. You'll find plenty of friendlies there!

Typical Bandwagon-Bungles fans. How many people still sport their Akili Smith jerseys?

Hate to admit it...I still got my Kordell jersey in the garage.

I don't know about other Bengals fans, but I keep my Peter Warrick, Corey Dillon, and Jeff Blake jerseys in the closet.

well then you are one of the few, however, can you say you actually wore that stuff in during the 15 yr drought? I do know some die hards (2 to be exact) that were there in the bad times, but for the most part we all know that most have just come out of the closest the past 2 or 3 yrs.

I feel your pain. I lived down in Hamilton for 10 years, but now I'm stuck in Canton. It isn't too bad, it's about half Browns/half Steelers. And honestly, there were no problems for Steeler fans down there until about 3 years ago (or until Carson Palmer was named God).....

Combine Ohio hillbilly and Kentucky redneck and you have Bengal fans.

The worst of both states.
