You thinking what I'm thinking? I mean, why not? What did Haley do that Wisenhunt couldn't do?

Not going to happen. Rooneys committed to more than a one year experiment.

I don't think he'd come back after being passed overy by Tomlin for the head coaching job. Although it'd be nice if I was wrong. I'm hoping Haley goes.

He's still bitter that the Steelers picked the better coach over him. Let him go to Kansas City and let his career die. I never understood why everyone was so big on this guy - he obviously can't coach for shit. Starting 4-0 is great, but going 1-11 isn't.

They liked the job he did at OC. Not that I am disagreeing with you but that's why people liked Whisenhunt. Anyhow despite this year's disappointment, I still think we made the right choice. If you're going to criticize Tomlin "for winning with Cowher's players", you have to account for Whisenhunt only really winning when they had Warner there and not being able to draft or develop a heir which I think is a fair knock on him considering he made his bones as an offensive coach.

If we're going to dump Haley for a new OC, I say let's go for Norv Turner who is a clear upgrade.

I heard Reid finally got it in Philly. as did Turner in San Diego. It will be interesting to see who teams decide to hire. Probably your usual hot coordinator (hearing Kyle Shannahan), out of the league successful HC (Gruden), and then there will be moves out of left field. I think the only coaching vacancy we have is at O-Line coach since Kugler's taking the HC job at his alma mater.

It really is a waste of time talking bigtime "coaching changes" with the Steelers. Nobody is going anywhere. Knee jerk reactions kill me sometimes. Sign every bigtime FA, sign every fired head coach. It's the same formula EVERY off-season.

Constant change is for losing organizations. They will stay the course and return to the playoffs next season as Arizona and Cleveland will flounder for a couple of years after the changes.

If Haley gets a head coaching job somewhere, who knows. Wasn't he (Haley) said to be a possible candidate for the head coaching job in Arizona, in the event Whisenhunt was fired? Trading places.

But but but.... He made it to the superbowl....like tomlin.

I think the whiz just needs a good qb and hed be competitive. Decent run game, decent defense. Just missing a qb. Poor dude.

Whiz wouldn't come back nor would he be asked too. We are better for it. I really hope Haley gets some time here.Until Ben got hurt the O was actually growing and getting better IMO. It's time for Ben to grow up and get on board. I believe next year we will take huge steps in the O and I think we are going to have to get younger on D so we will need the O to step up.

this all the way and then some.
The only way we will replace Haley is if he accepts a head coaching job somewhere else.

I'm fine with giving Haley another shot. I think I read on the PG website the day Haley was hired that we typically struggle the first year of a new OC.. Don't panic- make smart decisions.

It wasn't the Injury that turned Ben south, I noticed that Ben was starting to slack, resort back to his old ways and play more desperate, and take risks a week before the giants game. Then brown got hurt and made it worst. Then Ben got hurt and it was really all down hill from there.

Having said that, we would be in the playoffs easily if the offense wasn't an undisciplined turnover machine. Fumbles, dropped balls, Ints. Really really really made this offense look pathetic. Haley will stay for. SeAson or two at least. I hope Ben genuinely buys into it, works hard ALL YEAR and the offense also finds their hands again... ALSO, let's get a O line coach that can coach our men to open up some holes for our running backs.

No coach would win with John Skelton. He went 4-0 with Kevin Kolb... not bad at all.

You've never been good at alotting blame have you?

If Haley chooses HC for cards', then heck yes, I hope the Steelers' are atleast seriously considering grabbin Whiz' ! but then again, Whiz would only want the HC position here.
