This is the only game I have money on. I have Seattle straight up. I really want Atlanta to win but I have no faith.

Ah I don't see them as the crybabies anymore and for some reason I don't hate them. I guess it's the little Tarkenton they got back there and the way they play physical and chippy.

Still, I have a bad feeling about 'em today. I think they might get slaughtered in that dome.

I've enjoyed watching Seattle play the last two years, and think a SF/SEA third matchup would be a hell of a championship game

3-0 Atl

That was a great play on both sides of the ball. I loved the design of that play on offense. They ran it to neat perfection but the DB made a great recovery.

This isn't the Seahawks of 10 years ago. Its an entirely different team of coaches, players, etc. To me - the Atlanta fans are FAR more annoying than the Seahawks fan in the today and present.

Well I wouldn't say a beat down of epic proportions. They moved the ball but their coach decided to snot away 6 points.

Still they are toast. Eventually being a young team catches up to you.

This is pathetic. Hard to root for an underdog when they play a game like this. I would like Seattle to win but it looks like it's iced already. I can't see the hawks' coming back from 20 points based on what I've seen.

ATL for the SB then? Because Pats, 49ers, Ravens - none of them must win it.

This isn't over but I still don't like the chances. Crappy playoffs other than Cincy going 1 and done and GB getting hammered.

Man what a great game first of all. I really didn't thought that Matty Ice gets it done at the end. Well done.

But the real winner of this game is........Skip Bayless. He postet the whole 4th quarter what a mistake it was by Seattle to not kick those two field goals and gess what he will go on and on tomorrow about how he knew everything.

Actually I kind of waiting for First Take tomorrow.....

If Seattle would have even shown up in the 1st half for half a minute they would have taken this game. As it was, it was almost one of the greatest comebacks ever. Should have won....
Really stupid move not kicking that field goal near the end of the 1st half.

Seattle down 27-0... scored 4 TDs in the 4th quarter, the final TD with 31 seconds left. Atlanta responded by throwing two passes for 50 yards, for the FG. Holy shit... what a game!!! Then, a botched squib kick (8 second left), followed by a Hail Mary (3 seconds left)... which fell short. What an ending!!!

Great year by Seattle, But they are still a year or two away.

Look at their draft:

Bruce Irvin - home run
Bobby Wagner - grand slam
Russell Wilson - walk-off grand slam

And, they're only going to get better.

They already had the league's best secondary. And, Marshawn Lynch. If they add a legit WR (Tavon Austin), they could be scary-good.

Agreed this an exciting team with a lot of young talent. But now the expectations for next season are sky high - they have a lot of young talent but the meltdown at the end of today's game was not the first time their secondary gave up late points and we will see how coordinators respond to Russell Wilson after having an offseason to study him.

Agreed. I think they'll come back to earth next year. They desperately need a decent front 7 as well. Their linebackers were invisible today. I like their secondary but they need to get to the passer up front. They couldn't do it today and it along with bad decisions cost them the game.

not settling for the FG twice killed them, atlanta would have had to drive down the field for a TD to win, which would have been much less likely.

still a hell of a game, i was rooting for the seahawks to pull off the upset but the falcons were just the better team today

That thinking doesn't work because if that last FG had gone wide,Atlanta could surely have claimed they beat themselves by going away from their game plan after the half. Both teams made mistakes and both teams took advantage of the mistakes of the other.

Well, either way, everyone can pretty much forget about the bye teams winning easily in the divisional round.

Denver LOST. Atlanta ALMOST LOST. The Green Bay/SF game was competitive for a good bit(until around the 4th quarter). Although NE won easily.

The list goes on in recent years, but in many years prior to that 80% of the bye teams would win in the divisional round by double digits. Now? Not really anymore. The Giants beat 2 #1 seeds in the years they won the SB. The Jets made it to 2 AFCCGs by going through as WCs. Peyton went 1 and done a couple of times as #1 seeds. Arizona and Green Bay were barely WCs the years they went to SBs. The list goes on.

I don't know what it is, but the playing field has evened out in recent years. Atlanta may be a very good team, but they ARE beatable(they could have easily been a 9 or 10 win team in the reg season). Denver may have been 13-3, but they had trouble against the better teams in the reg season. NE only does enough to win, and no more.

not settling for the FG twice killed them, atlanta would have had to drive down the field for a TD to win, which would have been much less likely.

It made sense to go for it on 4th and 1 with a top Run/RZ O and play for the 7 down 13 on the road in a do-or-die game.

The second non-FG was Russell Wilson's fault for taking a sack instead of throwing it away or an incompletion.

Regardless of the results, etc, it was a hell of a game for sure though.
