Kruger gone. Boldin gone. Ellerbe just about gone. Ed Reed likely gone. Wow - the team is just about being completely dismantled.

Good signing for the Browns. Great player, Kruger.

8 mill a year for a situational player ? not to mention he's only had 1 ok year.

4 years
15.5 sacks
47 tackles

yep...those stats just scream big bucks ....

I have to agree here. Recording less than four sacks and less than twelve tackles per year while playing opposite Terrell Suggs and having Haloti Ngata consistently command double teams up front just screams 8 million/ year. Let's see if he can prove that the money used to bring him to Cleveland was money well spent when he is playing on a much less talented defense. Kruger will have a lot to prove during the 2013 season.

Have no fear. They still have their elite QB, Joe Flacco! :chuckle:

Kruger's solid, but its been said for days now, by all analysts, that Kruger will get paid BIG and get "over-paid". So its not really surprising. Clevelands defensive front is much tougher, stronger, and nastier than ours - so it will give him a good foundation for playing back at the LB position. He should do OK there.

Best quarterback in the league. Just ask him! He doesn't need help from any of those scrub free agents leaving the Ravens!:chuckle:

the guy was a situational player in bmore. they thought he was a liability in run support. if your gonna get paid 8 mill a year to play 60% of the time , your gonna need more than 9 sacks a year to justify that salary.

blame that on the Cleveland FO then. Bottom line was he was getting big money from likely a bunch of different places.
With the current scheme & personnel in Cleveland - it sets him up pretty well to do very, very well, though.

Kruger never lived up to expectations until his final year. I will say that while Suggs was out during the beginning of the season, Kruger was the only one getting pressure on the opposing QB. It certainly sucks losing him after seeing him finally playing well, but we did just draft Courtney Upshaw last year. I think Upshaw can do a better job of replacing Jarrett Johnson.
