Well no one thought we would get a second 4th round pick soooooo it's kinda like we waited till the 5th

And don't worry about the third next year we should get a comp from lewis

That's what I am thinking too. No disrespect to Batch and Leftwich who are good dudes but we put a lot of pressure on the D to win games when Ben goes down. With Jones or whomever in there I think we have more of a fighting chance. I understand why people may have wanted to wait till Rd-5 but I'll defer to the scouts.

and at this rate any quarterback will have concerns.

what did bray do in all his years at tennessee?
had hunter, patterson, and rogers and never won squat.
dysert and griffin both have their concerns as well

atleast jones won at oklahoma, was a top 15 pick at some points in previous season.

could turn into good value,

its like people just love to complain, they bitch about sandwich and batch and how we dont have a good back up.

the front office goes out and gets a young back up, and a vet back up, and people still complain

the thing with thomas is some teams had a second round grade on him, quite possibly the steelers, so from there point of view its like trading a 2013 second rounder for a 2014 3rd rounder.

and we could always trade around in next years draft

Packers better actually run the ball now they've got Eddie Lacy and Jonathan Franklin. I think part of the reason they've struggled in the playoffs is their drives aren't long and sustained enough and thus they put their defense back ton the field way too early. What do you guys want in Rd-5 and where do you think we'll go? I'd like another linebacker especially if Spence's recovery isn't going well.

Hawthorne profile: Able to match up against opponents’ top receivers and support the run because of his physicality. Possesses the height, vertical, and tenacity to be factor as a press corner and on jump balls down the sideline. Quick to react on short routes, has the short-area footwork to break on poor throws to make the interception. Uses strong upper body to wrap up larger wideouts immediately after the catch and to throw down big backs in the open field. Brings some pop to the party, creates turnovers with his impact and willingness to rip at the ball during the tackle. Also a solid cut tackler, throws his shoulder into the thigh of ballcarriers to stop their momentum. Reliable on containment responsibilities outside against the run and on misdirection, will rip off blocks with strong hands. Willing to meet backs head-on in the hole and gives chase to plays down the line when no receiver is on his side of the field.

Sounds like we got someone big and strong enough to run with AJ Green.

I think we're going to trade Redman or Dwyer. For what, I dunno but I think we will.

If they know that they can convince a player to join them, then they'll draft a different player.

If I were a RB, I would not go to Pittsburgh; so, if they want a RB, they'd need to draft him. Whereas, if I were a DB, I know that the Steelers have some intakes spots... so, the Steelers are likely not to draft him, but wait until after the draft to sign him.

Tony Hills
Limas Sweed

even Sepulveda had a history of injuries in his past.

ROB RANG'S 2013 NFL DRAFT DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH: Nicholas Williams, Samford, 6-5, 309, 4.84 ... Florida's Sharrif Floyd was generally credited with enjoying the most impressive all-around workout among defensive tackles tested at the combine but Williams proved to be quicker than Floyd and most others in the shuttle drill (4.65-seconds) and led his position in the 40-yard dash (4.84) and the vertical jump (33"). The reason why most don't know his name is because of the fact that Williams was lightly recruited out of high school after dedicating his impressive athleticism to basketball. He's still quite rough around the edges but it was the eight sacks he registered in 2012 more than any numbers during workouts which could force a team to gamble on him in the middle rounds.
