Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is wanted by authorities in Florida for violating multiple terms of his probation, according to an NFL.com report.

The Broward Sheriff's Office issued a warrant May 7 because Johnson failed to meet with probation specialists on Feb. 15 and March 15, and also didn't show proof of enrollment and completion of the "Batterers Intervention Program."

Johnson received probation after being accused of head-butting his then-wife, "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada, during an argument in August in the driveway of their home. The fight started when Lozada found a receipt for condoms in the couple's car, according to the police report. Arrested Aug. 11 and charged with domestic battery, Johnson pleaded no contest and received one year probation.

Johnson, 35, spent 11 years in the league, mostly with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Miami Dolphins released him after his August arrest, and no team picked him up.

---Doug Whaley took over as general manager of the Buffalo Bills.

The 40-year-old Whaley has worked for the Bills since 2010 as lead assistant to Buddy Nix, 73, who resigned his post May 13, two weeks after conducting his fourth draft and free agency signing period for the club. Whaley, who worked 11 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, oversaw the pro and college personnel departments for Buffalo and assisted Nix in every capacity.

Whaley is Buffalo's fourth GM in eight seasons and 12th overall. He inherits a team that hasn't made the NFL playoffs in 13 years, three that he's part of.

---One-time replacement NFL referee Lance Easley, who infamously awarded a winning touchdown on "Monday Night Football," will be switching to calling fair or foul in a celebrity softball game.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, whose team benefitted when Easley signalled touchdown on a Hail Mary pass to wide receiver Golden Tate -- even though the ball was intercepted by Green Bay's M.D. Jennings -- thus allowing the Seattle to beat the Packers 14-12, will serve as an umpire in a celebrity softball game on July 7.

---Punter Chris Kluwe has landed in Oakland, as the Raiders moved to replace departed kicker Shane Lechler.

Kluwe was released by the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month.

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie did announce the signings of free agent wide receiver and return specialist Josh Cribbs and former Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin.

---Rookie safety Shamarko Thomas, the first of two fourth-rounders for the Steelers in the 2013 draft, signed a four-year deal Thursday.

Thomas was the 111th overall pick and started 39 of 48 games in which he played at Syracuse, recording 263 tackles, 16.5 TFLs and four sacks.

---Joe Webb is going from Christian Ponder's backup to George Stewart's pet project in Minnesota. he Vikings are transitioning Webb back to wide receiver after three seasons as a backup quarterback.

"We had been talking about it for a while, and we made the decision that this was the way to go after we had our draft," coach Leslie Frazier said.

Webb, 6-4, 220, started at quarterback in the Vikings' playoff loss at Green Bay when Ponder was battling an elbow injury. He had 32 receptions for 480 yards and four touchdowns as a wide receiver in college, but last played the position regularly in 2008.

---The Washington Redskins signed seventh-round draft pick Jawan Jamison.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jamison was the 228th player taken overall.

The running back played at Rutgers University from 2010-12, and started 20 games. In his career, he rushed for 1,972 yards on 486 carries with 13 touchdowns.

---The Miami Dolphins have been awarded wide receiver Marvin McNutt off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles and signed fullback Rupert Bryan.

To clear room on the roster, the team waived defensive tackle Chas Alecxih and wide receiver Taylor Stockemer.

---Defensive tackle Kyle Love was claimed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, a day after the New England Patriots released him in a surprise move.

The Patriots parted ways on Wednesday with the 26-year-old Love, citing medical uncertainty, after he was diagnosed with Tipe-2 diabetes earlier in May and reportedly lost 20 pounds. But his agent, Richard Kopelman, expects Love to be healthy soon and ready for the 2013 season.

---One day after the Baltimore Ravens announced that Rolando McClain retired from the NFL at age 23, the linebacker said he hopes to play again in the future.

His off-the-field troubles off included three arrests since 2011. He also was suspended by the Oakland Raiders for two games last season for conduct detrimental to the team.

"Clearly, my decision to retire has raised some questions," he said. "Quite simply, I love football, but I have decided at this time it is in my best interest to focus on getting my personal life together.

"Beyond that, I'm not sure what the future holds for me, including football. .. God willing, maybe I'll play for (the Ravens) one day."

^^^Somebody doesn't know who Evelyn Lozada is.

Here is a video of Evelyn Lozada attacking a perfectly calm woman with no provocation and even throwing a bottle at her.

Chad Johnson's side of the story would certainly be worth listening to.

He could say he didn't assault her. What he can't say is that she deserved it as you seem to be saying.

I love the irony of 80% of the members of this forum coming to Roethlisberger's aid when he was accused of multiple accounts of sexual assault, but when Ochocinco has a dispute with his crazy, volatile and abusive wife there is no chance she is making the story up, he attempted to end her life with a headbutt and he should be sentenced to life in jail.

What I am saying is that Chad Johnson does not appear to be a violent person. He comes across as more clownish than anything. It is entirely possible that he has a mean streak and I won't deny that but it is irrefutable that Evelyn Lozada behaves in an obnoxious and aggressive manner on a regular basis and is therefore an unreliable witness.

Conspicuously absent in this mess are pictures of the injuries sustained by Evelyn Lozada. Her injuries were so little that the evil professional athlete did not serve one day behind bars. Don't you think that a man taller than 6 foot and weighing roughly 200 pounds could seriously injure a woman had that been his intention.

Sexually assaulting college students = OK.

Having a marital dispute with your crazy ass wife = you are the devil (t-shirt not included).

My main point is that you white knights are clowns. Evelyn Lozada is a golddigger on a scale never seen before by mankind.

Dates Antoine Walker - he goes broke - Lozada ends engagement.

Marries Ochocinco - he goes broke - Lozada files for divorce.

Lozada currently dating MLB player Carl Crawford who apparently is too dumb to learn from the mistakes of others.

Evelyn Lozada makes Robin Givens look like a saint.

I pity you ***** ass liberals who side with the greatest golddigger of all time.

I said "Chad Johnson's side of the story would certainly be worth listening to." And this makes me an advocate of violence towards women how?!

I never said anything that could be construed as saying that she deserved it. Deserve has nothing to do with it. Evelyn Lozada foments arguments and conflicts regularly and is unequivocally the type of person to initiate violence.

Your implication that I condone violence against women was a callous and despicable attempt to demean myself and my reputation on these forums. You are a gutless coward for immediately stooping to the politically correct opinion rather than be honest about Evelyn Lozada's poor character and violent past.

The scenario that occurred was Chad Johnson's crazy wife (who is known for assaulting women with bottles) found condoms in Chad's car that he was not using with her. You are on the record as believing the story that Lozada found out that her husband was cheating and that HE was the one who got angry. That doesn't make much sense if you would take a moment to sit and think about it.

I know that will be difficult for you- to file through the columns of brainwashed data you keep in your tiny head and form your own opinion. Why would Chad Johnson be aggressive and attack her because he was cheating? Do me a favour. I want you to go home and tell your wife/girlfriend you are cheating on her and see what happens.
Consider it a social experiment in an attempt to recreate the emotional atmosphere of the alleged incident.

You sir, are a fucking idiot. And I don't mind saying it because you accused me of advocating violence against women. I would never say a woman deserved a beating but I know you deserve one from every man that still has a set of balls left.

Let's recap. We don't know what happened. You trashed the woman involved for some reason. Then you trashed liberals and me and anyone who sides with her although I don't know that anyone did. Your language was colorful throughout so I'll give you style points.

Johnson once took a swing at Marvin Lewis at half-time. He really isn't a clown, but he sort of marketed himself that way.

You know enough about what happened to suggest that I am in favor of abusing women. How do you feel about Evelyn Lozada throwing bottles at women? Have you ever seen someone's face after they are hit by a bottle? Do you feel it is possible that Evelyn Lozada initiated the incident with her cheating husband since she threw a bottle at a woman over remarks she made about her hair?

Honestly, I find your stance sexist. Your opinion is that all women are helpless victims who never cause violence towards men.

Johnson once took a swing at Marvin Lewis at half-time. He really isn't a clown, but he sort of marketed himself that way.

There is a rumor that Chad Johnson "took a swing" at Marvin Lewis. You shouldn't state it as fact.

Latrell Sprewell is the only pro player I remember attacking his own coach (PJ Carlesimo) and he got a 68-game suspension from the league and was subsequently traded.
