looks like Killer broke the rep bank with his recent tear of accurately picking finishing positions. since the rep has been scrapped it looks like i will have to send out cash prizes to anyone who makes a correct pick. in reality it looks like were picking for bragging rights alone.
other than the superspeedways, the bristol night race is probably the best/ most exciting race of the year. very difficult to pick against the blue duce. he almost seems a shoe in to win but unfortunately there are several drivers who will be more than willing to give him the boot for a win. unless he has a sizeable lead he will not win. this is a race to watch the favorites. jeff has shown he will wreck anybody but his teammates. stewart will wreck anybody, and kenseth owes a few. if jr. and edwards are up front there could be an "accident". my sleeper /darkhorses is bobby labonte. he has a top 10 starting spot and has done well in the past. denny hamlin could have a great run, and ryan newman has officially fallen into sleeper category. where he used to be a favorite at just about every track, now he is automatically written off.
1) kurt busch
2) matt kenseth
3) jeff burton
4) tony stewart
5) jeff gordon
6) kevin harvick
7) jimmie johnson
this is really a crapshoot of favorites and hard to pick just one with any confidence. thats what makes bristol great is the unpredictability. busch should win. kenseth probably will win. considering the luck factor this year i wont be suprised to see the #2 cut a tire, get lapped and then wreck.
