SPOKANE, Wash. (RNS) Still angry about the idea of an Islamic cultural center opening near Ground Zero, a group of Idaho gun enthusiasts (MACH, are you behind this ?...lol) decided to fight back with a new line of pork-laced bullets.

I lived in Idaho for 10 years - great state

you could drive anywhere in the mountains and just pull over off the road and go shootin' - that's freedom

You in Idaho?

I'd get elk and mule deer every year.up in the Sawtooths, up around Cascade.

Elk was the big deal - we scouted that place for years - I'd drop the camper off my truck at a nice spot alongside a stream and we'd use it as a base camp for a month - just leave the door open and anybody could use it , restock it when you're done

even nailed a toilet seat to a tree for the ladies, it was home

big bonfires every night - antler dances - you name it

nobody ever bothered us - always got lucky and drew cow tags - 400lbs of cow elk was good enough for me .... anybody shoot one, I got a tag ....call me if you need help

big water rafting - Hell's Canyon - $20 overnight trip from MWR..jetboat ride back up river at the end...couldn't pass that up

Yes I'm in Idaho, I live out past the evil kenevil jump in the lava rock and sagebrush by the canyon.
I spaced off getting in on any draws this year. Guess I'm stuck with the open hunt.

That dirt hill is all thats left of the jump.

I know that place -way way east of where I hunted - I hit the BLM lands out in the wilds around Glenns Ferry...in the badlands...found arrowheads in the lava fields...lots an lots of open country

we spotted herds of 100 muleys and antelope just driving the roads in the backcountry

find a good spot, walk up to a farmers door and ask if you can hunt his field with a stream and he'd say yeah - don't shoot my cows - muzzle loader season was the best - 2 months long and no other hunters - l got a big 200+ muley that way - head mounted in my garage right now - I call him Hairy

I can draw you a map

Yeah I know that area fairly good got some friends that live in hammett, just a few miles down the road from glenns ferry. Lots of antelope around there too.

Theres a big elk farm there now you can see from the interstate, makes my finger itchy every time I drive by it.

I only ever got an antelope tag filled once....good buck, good tasting meat, just a hint of sage...delicious

you gotta sneak up on them...the only way to get in rifle range ...the herd has lots of eyes

I loved the bird hunting, had lots of dogs, labs for ducks on the Snake River - and this was my Brittany - the pheasant and quail dog from hell, he was special - we never went home without meat

I'd move back if it wasn't so fucking cold in the winter - that high prairie wind cuts like a knife, no shit

lol it does get a little nipplie. I got two chocolate labs that pull double duty for birds, best place for ducks/geese is around Hagerman. Got me a little no tell em spot, found a little island smack in the middle of the river a guy can walk out to if you know the way, water only gets up to knee high. Lots of little hot springs around there that the birds love when it gets ball freezing cold, theres even an alligator farm outside of Hagerman on one of the hot springs.
