Didn't Rick Perry just say that Texas values all lives?

(Dammit, Mom beat me to it in the rape kit thread)

I'm pretty sure that they execute both rapists AND rape victims.

After Texas "tried" to secede, we should integrate it with Rhode Island. It can be Rhode Mainland.

I say we give Texas and Arizona back to Mexico. Manifest Destiny is overrated.

yay texas !!! :tt03:
i 100% support the death penalty and think it should be used more often. every convicted murder , rapist and pedophile should be waiting their turn to ride the lightning (bring back the chair)

We should have let them secede, but kept the land.

Yeah, but since they hate Mexicans so much, think about how hilarious it would be when they all become Mexican.

You know there aren't any rape victims in Texas... the woman should:
- have not dressed like that
- have not invited it onto herself
- have pissed on herself
- etc

And this is the state that supposedly decides what the nation's textbooks should have in them?

We got problems, yo.

There is "some" law out there that states if you piss on yourself during an auto accident you get a LOT more money. Also if you piss on yourself during an arrest ? I can't remember the others, but pissing on yourself could work to your advantage in certain situations.

I once was dating this girl who got so drunk once that she pissed on herself while sitting in my car seat... all the while looking right in my face as she did it... that did not work to her advantage.

Man, I love Carlin.

A sad, sad day when that man passed. The world lost one of it's greatest comedians of all-time that day. :sadness:

The greatest comedian of all time.

I think I tend to agree. It's either him or Richard Pryor. It's a coin flip.

Pryor was great, but Carlin takes the #1 spot for me. Carlin had his brilliance in comedy added to being a modern-day philosopher, which puts him above and beyond anyone else, in my opinion.

Louis C.K. reminds me a lot of Carlin.

You gotta throw Bill Hicks in there too if you're going the comedian/philosopher route. He was another brilliant and funny man lost too soon.

Louis CK is my replacement for Carlin, as well.

Louis' take on kids is so damn TRUE. He says all of the stuff that parents THINK about their children, but are too embarrassed to say out loud.

The one that got me, was the one where this boy was pestering his daughter. So, Louis decides to find the boy's father, and turn the father gay... and then dump the father. The closer was:
"People always says I'd die for my kids. Hrumph... who wouldn't? I would turn gay for my kids."

For those that love Hicks, Carlin, and Louis CK...you should check out Doug Stanhope (if you haven't already). He quickly became one of my favorites upon discovery.

He's got a couple of specials that are on NetFlix streaming, and most of his shows are available in total on YouTube. Definitely check him out.

Considering Pryor survived lighting himself on fire while freebasing and drunk, he could probably have survived a 16 game season without a scratch.

I was just watching a documentary on the Death Penality and they were executing 2 African Americans and one Mexican. It was a fascinating watch; look it up under you tube Texas Death Penality and it's well worth the watch.

I give the Mexican man credit because he agreed his crime was so bad he deserved to die. I had to respect him for that.

I too support corporal punishment one thousand percent. Go Texas!!!!

Hicks was funny until his act went to him just telling you how brilliant he thought he was.

Stewart lee is the same way. Half of his lines are about who doesn't get his joke but the other half are brilliant.

I may have posted him before

The greatest comedian of all time.
There's way too much quality competition out there to make a statement like that. The first time I saw Lenny Bruce's "Thank You Mask Man" I was so blown away that I decided Western Civilization had capped out at that precise moment and had no more to offer. Before that Rocky and Bullwinkle, and even earlier Bugs Bunny did the same for me. Since then I've had the same epiphany with Carlin, Steven Wright and Louis CK.

All of these guys build on each other, so it's really not fair to hand the crown to one of them.

Besides, Drake Sather was the funniest stand-up comic of all time.
