Denver is one of the favorites to win the AFC, as they should be. So, they are relative to Pgh's play off run, if we run into them.

And Von Miller getting dinged for 4 games for "substance" violations is potentially a bigger concern than just the 4 games.

First of all, Miller probably got nabbed for some form of PEDs.

OK, so?

Well, that could well mean that his production was very enhanced by the PEDs.

So?

Well, after being busted once now means he will be tested randomly, not just once a year.

That means he will be forced to quit them.

That could mean his production will fall greatly. Remember how good Shawn Merriman was with the Chargers? Remember when he got busted using juice? Remember how much worse he got when he could no longer use them? He couldn't even keep a roster spot, not to mention, come anywhere close to the dominance he once flashed. He was a shell of his former self.

This could all matter if Pgh faces Denver in the play offs. Between losing Dummervile and now, Miller - being off PEDs - could be a major factor in determining the outcome of that game. Between the two of those guys, they accounted for 26 sacks. Try replacing that.

I got news for you none of them quit them they find a better one to take. If they quit them they wouldn't be able to play in the league because all of them are on it

Apparently Miller did not test positive for steroids - he is a repeat offender with regard to weed and/or speed

The Denver Post, citing anonymous sources, reported that Miller tested positive for marijuana and amphetamines in 2011, his rookie season. Under the NFL's substance abuse policy, players who test positive for recreational or illegal prescription drugs are not suspended after the first positive test but are punished for positive tests once in the league's drug program.

if he is a repeat offender isnt it a 8 game suspension?

it must be the speed that gets him amped up pre-game.. and weed slows em down post game

As much as I hate the ravens.
they already got screwed week 1 by the orioles. (i Know this is in the past, but why couldn the orioles move to a 1 o clock?, or play a double header on the weekend?) I would hope the pirates would move game times for the super bowl champ steelers in 2014

Defending champs on the road vs. the afc favorites.

If that were true, then why did Merriman go from probowl beast to not being able to even stay on a roster? Why didn't he just "take a better one" if what you say is true? I can think of countless examples of a player getting busted for PEDs and then never returning to their prior PED-aided production.

I'm not positive, but once you are busted for any substance issues, it doesn't matter what substance you are busted for the 2nd time; it still is a repeat offense, even if the first one was for weed and the second one is for juice. So, just because his last offense was weed or speed does not mean this one is as well.

George Atallah of the NFL players association stated through twitter that Miller's "case does not involve the Steroids and Related Substances Policy."

The assumption in Denver is that Miller failed another test for recreational drugs

The verdict is in from the court of public opinion: Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Milwaukee slugger Ryan Braun are drug users.

Miller is a stoner.

Braun is a cheater.

There's a big difference.
