I'm not aware of any beer distributors in the area that you will be around. There are a few in Oakland but that's not walking distance.

There is also one on the South Side: South Side Beer Distributor on 74 S 20th St, Pittsburgh, PA

lol, I meant the Oakland in Pittsburgh.

Primanti's in Market Square sells 6 packs. Walking distance from the Hilton.

I would guess that the hilton would have a bar at it and if I talk the right stuff and pay the right money I could get them to fix me up a 12 pack or so to go I need to bring me a soft cooler to pack my beer in something cheap that I could leave to somebody as a parting gift

Walk up Liberty Avenue. Turn right on Stanwix Street. Make your first left on Forbes Avenue. Make your first left on Delray Street and your in Market Square. Ten minute walk tops.

I don't believe the Hilton sells six packs, but you can try.

The map I posted in the "Fans United" section has both the Primanti's and Hilton locations.

you might wanna check on the laws concerning alchohol sales in PA. here in md., we can't by beer till 1:00 on sundays, and you can't get it to go.
why not just get it the day before the game and ice it down?

All this talk of drinkin and tailgatin is makin me jealous. If/when I ever go to a game this season in the PGH I'm goin nuts and I ain't stoppin til I meet every single person from here that I can!

yes i have been to PA, three years ago......and i was being more sarcastic about ppl not being able to buy beer at a store......i liked PA

the bad part......it was to cold lol, it was summer too lol, we got there like at 3am and it was 54 degrees, it barely gets that here in winter lol. to many hills to drive up, i was afriad my uncle was gonna be a retard and drive off lol....i wake up easy, and we slept with the window open, and the damn amish would be riding down the street and you hear the stupid horses feet on the road. y'all talk funny up there lol...i know i know, we talk funny to y'all lol. youz guys, wtf is that lol....we had to drive away from a freakin tornado lol

the good part......damn everythign was beatuiful around there. hersey park was tight. Knoebels was pretty tight. i finally saw a cow that wasn't just plain brown or black. y'all have them black and white ones lol

it's seems like there's more bad then good in my post but i had a hell of a time there....just to bad i couldn't buy steeler gear cause all i saw was dallas cowboy shit in the stores lol

Yeah if you don't like cold weather (during Winter) and if you don't like mountains, the northeast part of the country is probably not a place for you. Personally, I can't imagine watching a Steeler game in warm weather for 18 games a year. It's just not Steeler football. I can't take dry heat so I wouldn't exactly like Arizona, New Mexico or Texas. As for tornado's, not many in this area but I believe there are many in the state of Texas.

As for the Amish, the majority are located in one county....Lancaster.

As for the speech. Well, people from Texas talk funny (that's if your lucky enough to find one that actually speaks the English language these days...lol). BTW, it's "yinz guys".

As for Steeler gear, if you visit Pittsburgh, you'll find Steeler gear.

Thanks for the reply, just curious as to why our state is a piece of &$%# in your opinion.

There are a bunch of catfish farms in the east part of the state I love catfish they are easy to come by, but crappie has alot better flavor but is hard to get unless you catch your own.

Catfish and hushpuppies some cole slaw and fries 13 or 14 beers corn bread onions on a hot saturday night in the south mmmm mmmm it would make you all want to loose the war and I am not kidding:sofunny:

Believe me man, even people that have lived in this state all their lives make fun of how you have to get alc up here. It's all a state conspiracy to get more money off of the sale of alc.

the bad part......it was to cold lol, it was summer too lol, we got there like at 3am and it was 54 degrees, it barely gets that here in winter lol. to many hills to drive up, i was afriad my uncle was gonna be a retard and drive off lol....i wake up easy, and we slept with the window open, and the damn amish would be riding down the street and you hear the stupid horses feet on the road. y'all talk funny up there lol...i know i know, we talk funny to y'all lol. youz guys, wtf is that lol....we had to drive away from a freakin tornado lol

As far as the weather goes, PA weather can be crazy. It will be hot as hell all day and all night but then some nights will get cool. I could go into detail easily but to say it in a concise manner: it's crazy.

The Amish are only in Lancaster County in PA so that is the only place that you will find them ridin up and down the streets in buggies. I am used to havin to drive that area since it is right between my home and where I go to school but yea it does get annoyin and for those who ain't used to drivin around the Amish it can be dangerous. At least once a year you hear on the news of a bad accident involvin a buggie and a car and usually the buggie is destroyed, the horse is either dead or has to be put down and the Amish in the buggie are either severely injured or killed.

We got our own accent and it changes dependin on what part of the state you in. If you in Philly "water" is pronounced "wooder." If you in Harrisburg we say "The TV needs plugged in." instead of "The TV needs to be plugged in." and if you in Pittsburgh.....well there are a lot of things that make up the accent in Pittsburgh.

Three years ago you were here? What area were you in when you had to run from the tornado? If you know I think I know what one you are talkin about. PA don't usually get tornadoes so when one comes around even we are like "WTF?" The geography of the state goes from mountainous to rolling hill, to flat towards Philly.

the good part......damn everythign was beatuiful around there. hershey park was tight. Knoebels was pretty tight. i finally saw a cow that wasn't just plain brown or black. y'all have them black and white ones lol

PA is known to have some good scenery. When you go out west on the Turnpike between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh you see a lot of green and mountains and valleys that make for some good views. Hersheypark is right near where I live and yea it is pretty fun to go there. The park and the whole town is dedicated to chocolate and all things sugar-based so it's great for your sweet tooth. Lol. Cows, .....well cows are cows. :sofunny:

it's seems like there's more bad then good in my post but i had a hell of a time there....just to bad i couldn't buy steeler gear cause all i saw was dallas cowboy shit in the stores lol

From Harrisburg and west it is all Steelers stuff. I don't know why you couldn't find nothin, prolly because all the Steelers stuff sold out and cowboys shit was all that was left. Lol. If you ever need the hook-up on gettin shit just let me know. I'll let you know when I'm goin out to Pittsburgh again and I'll hook you up. Peace.

I really don't think it's all that hard to get alcohol in this state. I mean.......you get in your car, drive to the beer distributor and pick your brew. Most bars sell six-packs. I've never had to go through an obstacle course of any sort in order to get a case of beer in the state of PA....lol.

Would it be nice to be able to get beer at Giant Eagle? Sure. But it really doesn't make much of a difference to me if I go to Giant Eagle, BP or a beer distributor.

Well you all know beef steak is my first love watching them grow out in the field from little calves to steaks hot off the grill is awesome. What you have to do is 60 days or so before the steer takes his last look around is you feed him straight corn and all the salt he will eat. Dont let him run around too much so he gets good and fat that is the sizzle sound you hear when you turn your steak. I know you folks from the city are like how can you look at them out there eating grass and playing around to looking at them over a bed of coals it damn easy they are tasty and good for you.

The steer we got out there right now is looking at 56 more sun sets then its curtains

his name is camel cause that is the way he looks when he walks I can feed him right out of my hand

They have a brewery down here in Tampa now. I love that place. In my old job, I would deal with the local reps and every year would go for the tour. They have sign that reads, "Only two drinks per person" and then after the tour I would sit down and have about 6 or so.

I guess the idea of big would be in the eyes of the beholder. I live outside a town of 58,000 which is starting to become big to me. I have been to the very large citys and I get lost there very easy.

Visit NYC (Manhatten) or Chicago and then go to Pittsburgh and it won't be so big anymore!

BuFu

Not true at all, there is Amish spread out quite a few places in Pennsylvania. Up my way here we have them here in New Wilmington, and we have a camp in Tionesta, Pa that also has an amish Community. Lancaster is just where the major part of the Amish are from in Pa.

And there is nothing wrong with IC Light, it is better than Butt Wiper, Butt Lite. Or Ceers Lite.
