Who Is The Next All-Pro On Our Roster?

I was thinking about this today while bored to tears in my lecture. I need something to pass the time, right?

I thought about this for a long time and then I realized why I was thinking about this for so long - we have so many guys on our roster that I'm excited about and have such potential, it could be any number of guys. Perhaps the most exciting thing about this whole thing is it could be any number of guys from this draft alone. Top to bottom (so far) it looks like we've hit on a lot of picks which leads me to who I think our next All Pro player on our team is ...

#98 (recently changed), Vince Williams.

Now this was a tough choice. I'm just a huge fan of this kid. You could very easily make a case for Allen, Timmons (especially Timmons. seriously, what more does this guy have to do to get national recognition?), Wheaton, Jones, DeCastro, Sharknado... the list goes on. However, the guy I'm most excited about and I think has the highest ceiling and most potential on this team right now is Williams.

I know that there were some threads that gave this kid recognition, but even with all of that, he's underrated. PFF had Vince Williams ranked as their third highest Inside Linebacker in the preseason. That's not third highest second-team or third-team Linebacker, that's third highest Inside Linebacker. Period. He graded out positively in every aspect of his game. This was a guy that was overlooked because of his inability to cover the pass, and now it looks like he can do everything well. He's a Seminole prospect like the other great ILB we have on this team in Timmons. Timmons' knock out of college was his inability to cover the pass as well. I think he turned out all right.

If we're moving passed statistics though, this kid just has a ridiculously high football IQ. Even in OTAs, there were reports of Williams showing other rookies where to line up in the defense. He showed leadership qualities that the team lacked this past season. This kid just needs to play alongside LT in the middle of our defense.

Who do you guys think the next All Pro is on our roster? As I've said previously, you could honestly make a case for a lot of young guys on our roster based on what they've shown so far.

Wow didn't hear that about Williams. That gets me very excited about his potential. I'll take a safe bet and say Jones though. Jarvis seems to be able to create turnovers and sacks like James Harrison was able to. I think we've got a lot of good up and coming guys which is why I think many will regret writing the Steelers' epitaph.

Here are my odds:

I can only pick one? How about if I pick the one that will be the next all-pro in a year or two? I'm going to go with Mike Adams as a long-shot. But it will take more time for him to get there.

I think this draft hit on players who can really play here for years. Williams, Shark, Jones, Wheaton, and hopefully Bell. We've got McClendon and Allen and Decastro set to have big years.
