Swap Woodley for Clowney

I know it sounds like a stretch, but it could happen. The Steelers need to take a risk if they have a decent enough draft pick (probably will need top-10).

I haven't given up on this season nor this defense, but its an interesting contingency plan.

Thoughts?

While I admit Clowney is a good player with lots of potential, what he did by quitting on his team tells me he is NOT Steeler material. Team first.

Anthony Barr is a better 34 OLB than Clowney is.

My thoughts are we don't need 1000 "frown for clowney" posts and thatnewbs should have at least 50 quality posts before they are allowed to start threads.

in other words, newbs will need to have at least 2000 posts before they are allowed to start threads?

I think Clowney is overrated.

Re: Swap Woodley for Clowney

Clowney will be a huge bust. Lazy guys who are out of breathe after 5 plays that quit on teams don't make great 1 r d picks. If the steelers pick high hope they don't go near him. He doesn't even have the production to get the credit he does. PASS

Woodley had a good game against the Giants. I think he'll pick it up gradually, along with the youngster Jarvis Jones.

I'm hoping you meant Jets, because if Woodley's last good game was week 9 last year, then I'll be jumping on the Clowny bandwagon. :chuckle:

Trade BB for Clowney. Then, trade Clowney to Miami for Wallace. Switch to the 4-3. Fire Tomlin... and Richard BeLeau... and force the Rooneys to sell. I miss Cowher... but, he was a turtler. Oh... Tim Lumber!!!

(I think that I covered every redundant topic.)
