Draft. What's our biggest need?

If you don't want to look ahead till next year, then don't bother commenting.

I have zero faith in this coaching staff or scouts. That being said, the offseason will arrive quickly. We will have a top 10 pick, if not top 5. We have needs, and they are many.

IMO, everything that happens next offseason will revolve around two players: Ben and Troy. Do we extend them, or get rid of them?

Regardless, we need to draft an actual playmaker (WR, CB, QB, etc). We've spent/wasted enough picks on scrub linemen and linebackers. We can draft them in the later rounds, or God forbid, actually bring in a worthwhile free agent.

If we keep/extend Ben and Troy, he'll be our QB for at least 3-5 more years. And Troy probably has a few years left. In that case, I say we draft either the best WR, or best CB. Our WRs are decent, but no true #1. No size. Get Ben a Brandon Marshall, AJ Green, Demarius Thomas type to work with. It's a passing league. Get with the program already. If there are no great WRs, then get a shutdown CB. Again, it's a passing league. We're dicking around with Blind Willie Gay.

If we get rid of Ben, we draft a QB.

If we get rid of Troy, and hopefully Ryan Clark (and his mouth) is gone too, we need a premiere safety or CB.

What says you?

If Teddy Bridgewater were available, I'd say QB with that said the team needs help in so many areas that it will take 2-3 drafts to get back to greatness

LT ofc. There is now way we're ever going to be a potent offense without protecting our QB, whoever it might be. I still believe we need to give Ben a chance, under a good OL, and with a good OL comes a good running game. Bell shows a lot of promise.

Marcus Mariota if he's there. If not, Anthony Barr.

Re: Draft. What's our biggest need?

It depends on what the changes are in the offseason.

A switch to a 4-3 D would necessitate further the importance of a pressure forcing lineman.

Replacements for the secondary (SS for Troy, FS for Clark and CB or Ike) would allow to save cap space and transition to the next era.

If a competent OL coach could be hired and/or if the guys on the roster can stay healthy and improve then the OL is fine.

Right now I'd say:

1. DL
2. DB
3. WR

A descent punter, not really.

Gotta say LT, Ben is getting killed.
Secondary has to be replaced, even Troy he's getting wreckless as hell.
Timmons is about the only quality player on defense so LB are a must.
Heath isn't himself so a TE or 3 would be nice.

Best available LT or WR... A BIG WIDE RECEIVER. We need someone that can make plays or get open

LB'ssssss? agree but we just had a number lb pick this year.

first thing to do is get in order who is assessing talent and making picks. unless that is resolved us having the number one pick will likely be wasted
