Congratulations Buckeyes!
Outright Big Ten champs. #1 ranking. A certain #1 overall ranking in the tournament. And all with a team that is largely made up of frosh. Fun fact: OSU just blew out a #3 Wisconsin team by 17 points, and 17 points is more than the combined amount of points Wisconsin lost it's other 3 L's by.
This is a Buckeyes team that can do some damage in the tournament. |

Well, from the info presented i will have to agree.

Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
Eh, who knows. Apparently being the consensus #1 team in the Country, and beating the #3 team in the Country not once but TWICE, and the second time by 17 points in a conference tourney is only worth a #3 seed.
The committee smokes crack... |
Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
You have the easiest path to the Sweet 16. The other #1 seeds could all face upset bids in the second round. Don't cry about your bracket too much. You won't face a real test until the regional final.

Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
Who's crying? I'm happy my team is a #1 seed. They deserved it. But there is a measure of disrespect still. Skip Bayless doesn't even think the Buckeyes should be a #1, but he's been pissed off at the Buck's since they beat Thug U for the 2003 NC.

Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
You're a #1 seed and you feel disrespected? Are you sure you're not a Notre Dame fan?

Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
Actually, we're the third #1 seed. 30-3 (tied for the best record), 17 game win streak, defeated the #2 Wisconsin Badgers last week, then busted up the #3 Badgers Sunday by 17, RPI #1, 19-0 home record, 7-3 road record (all games where Oden either didn't play or was about 50%), SOS of 12.
This is the resume of a CLEAR #1 overall seed. Anyway, my point is more about major media bias against the Big Ten his year. If you disagree, super-duper for you. |

So where's the bias? |
Re: Congratulations Buckeyes!
And why shouldn't they? The Big Ten was a solid conference this year, and had two of the best 3-4 teams in the Country this year, but not ALL year. OSU had a little handicap when they almost beat NC in NC, since they were without Greg Oden.
Eh, whatever...the tournament takes care of all this nonsense... |
