Jets | J. Miller arrested
Sun, 20 May 2007 17:20:15 -0700 ESPN's Jeremy Schaap reports New York Jets CB Justin Miller was arrested Sunday, May 20, for allegedly punching a woman in a New York nightclub. He was apprehended after a police chase and charged with third-degree misdemeanor assault. Police said Miller was swinging at a man, but hit the woman after the man ducked. The woman has a laceration on her face and swelling and pain in her knee. |
Re: Jets | J. Miller arrested
I think its important to note that Miller wasn't actually trying to hit the woman, even though trying to hit a guy is far from ideal.
I know this may not be a particularly politically correct view, but I don't have a huge problem with a guy taking a swing for another as long as it isn't part of a 'group beating' or anything more than an isolated single offense. I think alot of us would have felt the long arm of the law if taking a swing for a guy was an automatic arrest. |

:coffee: Just another case of the super atheletes that think they are Above The Law!!!
Now, if he were swinging at a man actually and missed and hit the lady, then that is kind of different. It was an accident and I can excuse that, but for a man to hit a woman is unexcuseable in my opinion. :tt02::tt02::tt02: |
