Yeah, I was on the list. I think I'm owed a dividend from the Municipality of Anchorage, since I paid electric bills to the municipality when I still lived up there, and it was a publicly-owned utility. I remember them sending me a statement when I first moved down to Colorado, saying they would owe me the money accrued in my "dividend account" upon maturity, which I think was a couple of years ago now. I completely forgot about it, but I doubt it will be more than $10-$20.

Sorry guys. Hey - even if it's $10-$20, Gary - if it's a government entity, collect on it. God knows they would be after you like white on rice if you owed them the moola.

Ladies - check under your maiden names as well as any named used if you were married before. It's worth the few minutes it takes to investigate! :cheers:

Oh yeah, absolutely. I'm not sure when you were first married, but if that money has been drawing interest the whole time, you might get a nice little chunk of change out of it.

Hey, I did that a couple years ago and found out that I had a refund of union pension contributions due from when I was a pipefitter in Michigan in 1977. It wasn't a lot; something like $45, but for the cost of a stamp and 15 minutes of filling out a form I got a check a week later. And that is a good thing.
