Who is this Pineapple, Marquis Cooper?

I was just reading as to how Marquis Cooper has once again not practiced. It brings me to a question. What has this "no name" done to even remotely suggest he deserves a roster spot on a team chock filled with LBs while high potential O-Lineman like Jason Cappizzi are cut and allowed to latch onto the NY Jets practice squad. Especially considering the fact that we have zero LT depth with Trai "The Matador" Essex. Can some attempt to answer me this?:dang:

I didnt like the move either, but I guess he is a great special teams player. Tomlin seems big on that.

You mean the Cleveland Browns practice squad. Worse yet.

No, he is on the NY Jets PS now.

Capizzi is a really immature person from what Ive heard. He was late to practices and didnt have an outstanding work ethic. Potential means nothing without a solid work ethic.

I could see where that wouldn't fly with Tomlin. He's all about work ethic and attention to details like being on time, being prepared, etc...

I dont know why people are making a fuss about not keeping Capizzi. He was big and has potential, but there are other factors that come into play. They kept Darnell Stapleton. I doubt they wouldve kept him over Capizzi if they believe Capizzi would pan out better.

Like I said, Capizzi reportedly has alot of growing up to do. The Steelers dont have time to babysit and watch over grown men. This is the way the Steelers have always done things. They bring in high character people who dont get in trouble off the field. Sure, there is bound to be isolated incidents here and there (Holmes problems, DeSheas arrest) but not players who constantly make noise.
