Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
I regulary use draftek.com to check what rounds players may slot into across the seven rounds.
They have just started a live correspondents draft and the writer for the steelers basically threw away the first pick. Check it out. http://www.drafttek.com/2008Corr1.html Did some research into who the steeler correspondent was and it turned up this (HOF???) http://www.allexperts.com/ep/291-698...Mr-Steeler.htm I know I was pimping Pollack as a second rounder earlier in the year but in the first is a little crazy. If it was 2009 and Alex Mack then I would have no problems. |
Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
1st time I've seen Pollack any where near the 1st round. I don't think anyone would be happy with this pick.

Mike Pollack? maybe he just wants diversity :hunch: |
Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
I hope they are wrong on the first pick that would be insane.

Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
Mike Pollack from Arizona St.
6'4" / about 298 lb Some think he is the best Center in the draft. Pretty solid late 2nd or 3rd round pick. |
Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
I highly doubt that we would pass on Talib for a projected 2nd-3rd rounder.

Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
Why would they go that route after signing Hartwig? You can't afford to throw away a number one pick just as an insurance policy for your off season dealings! :screwy: Especially when this guy has a great chance of still being around in third rd. Hopefully the Steelers brass don't pay any attention to these morons!

Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
Wow...I mean....Wow.
I'm not sure why he would pick Pollack..who, although is considered one of the best Centers in the draft, is universally considered a zone blocker. (..and NOONE thinks he is a first round pick) For our scheme you would think that Cody Wallace, Doug Legursky, and Fernando Velasco and are considered more our "type" of Center... I might even add a a lesser known player who fits our system better than Pollack...Drew Miller, from Florida. All that being said...there is no way we take a center with the first three picks...and may not draft one at all until UDFA |
Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
:hatsoff:I like the young center from Wake Forest. But I really dont see the Steelers drafting a Center now that they have signed Hartwig.

Re: Draft Tek Correspondents Draft
Pollack has seen his stock rise as of late, so it's not crazy to see him being discussed. But I haven't seen him anywhere going higher than 2nd, and late 2nd at that.
