Bruce Davis DE. Why?
 

The steelers took Bruce Davis, a DE in the 4th round.

I really can't understand this, especially because they took a linebacker later in the draft.

NFL.com describes him here: Davis did very well in his first extended time as a linebacker at the Senior Bowl. He's a classic Steeler type of player. Davis is very bright and has a knack for getting to the quarterback with his speed.

I guess Tomlin was looking for a pass rusher? Because he's way too small to play 3-4 DE he only weighs 252 lbs.

So now, there are still major needs on the D-Line.

Unless they're still looking at converting 4-3

I though Davis was a good pick. He has shown that he can get to the QB consistantly. I think he will be line up outside with Woodley for a long time with Timmons between them. The LBr they took late is an inside LBr and will probably develop into a nice backup player, but I think they got him mostly for ST.

He's a pass rushing specialist. What, 25 sacks over the last two years in a good conference? That's why they picked him.

Answer this! When's the last time the Steelers have drafted a bad Linebacker. (Timmons, is to early to know about also)

The kid is a 3-4 OLB. We are not going to the 4-3. Repeat 100 times, then stop posting.....
