The No-Huddle Offense
It looks to me like this offense just moved better when running the no huddle. With Parker and Mendenhall out, I think the no huddle would be the best way to keep this offense going.
I sure hope they use it a majority of the time, at least until we get Willie back...and even after Willie comes back. |
Re: The No-Huddle Offense
I liked it as well, it involved a lot of short passes to keep the pressure off Ben and not allow the defense to set up.
Without Willie and Mendenhall, I think it's a good way to keep the offense moving. |
Re: The No-Huddle Offense
They should go to that Kelly Gun offense that the Bills ran in the early 90's...
They never huddled and Jim Kelly called the plays at the line. That could work in the short term. Anything is better than the status quo. |
Re: The No-Huddle Offense
when you have a D' like the Ravens who play every play 1000 miles a hr the hurry up O' seemed to be effective against some of their packages and schemes....I liked it

Re: The No-Huddle Offense
The no huddle last night look amazing. We had the defense on their heels and with the no huddle it spread them out giving Ben time to throw.
These plays are mostly Ben's and that what makes them smart and efficient. |
Re: The No-Huddle Offense
They needed something to pump them up and that was a great call...

Re: The No-Huddle Offense
I think the No-Huddle was effective because Ben got rid of the ball a lot faster because he knew where he wanted to go with the ball and yes as always the Big Plays come when he moves in the pocket and finds the open receiver but no matter if we run the no huddle or regular plays there needs to be work on what they call the Hot READS and that is not just Ben but the receivers recognizing the Blitz and adjusting their routes for Ben to get rid of the Ball quicker.
All in all I hope to see the Steeler offense improve and to me it is better these weakness are exposed now instead of late in the season. |
Re: The No-Huddle Offense
That's a good game plan until Willie gets back...Moore is more suited to be in that type of offense anyhows...being a 3rd down type back and all.....and yes it does let Ben get rid of the ball quicker......

Re: The No-Huddle Offense
i wont be surprised if we start the game against the Fags, sorry JAGS, game running the no huddle. Personally I think it'd be better for us to get the momentum right off the bat. Obviously we play better with the crowd in it!

Re: The No-Huddle Offense
No Huddle, Hurry Up, Dink & Dunk, etc. I think is a good idea until the O-line is collectively confident whether or not Willie is back. Ben showed he can call effective plays on his own so why not expand on it? It is at least worth experimenting with since the Jags are up next and they have an effective D as well.
