How hard is it to beat a team 3 times in a season?
 

Seems like that is something everyone likes to talk about. However, according to my research, out of 18 matchups where a team has won twice in regular season and then met in the playoffs the record is 11-7.

So, the old adage of you can't beat a team 3 times, is garbage.
