Draft a RB ?
 

Since Jerome will almost for sure retire after the 2005 season, assuming he comes back this year. That will leave us w/ Duce and Verron. Neither of which has been 100% the majority of their careers... I would think we'd have to draft a RB at some point in this draft, for insurance, if we can. Jerome isnt telling BC and company till June 1 what his intentions are, so while RB's can be had anytime,I'd be tempted to grab a good prospect later on day 2 of the draft this year, just to be safe.

Parker isnt an every down back IMO.. he's a great situational player, but lacks the power to be a guy who can between the tackles, which is what we need since we do alot of trap blocking and guys like verron, duce and the bus run great, straight up the middle, north and south.

Parker is great as a role player, but at this point, not much more than that, IMO. :cool:

ahh we say him in 1 game u dotn know yet if hell be a break out player.

past experience w/ players that are mainly built for speed, suggests he wouldnt make it as an every down back.. however thats not to say that he couldnt do it, anything can happen, and I'd ecstatic if he turns out to be even more than he is now.

Gotta find someone who can handle the rock 25-30 times a game, run between the tackles. I want a big guy like Duckett but a little lighter and faster. We find them, always do...
