After 68 years...a new stadium for my Zips!
 

I cut my teeth on football at the old Rubber Bowl. Saw my first ever college football game there, played my first varsity football game there (as a frosh), played a lot of intramural ball in college there. Watched a LOT of Zips games there as the place crumbled around me. Good memories but it's time had passed...

Now we have a brand new, state of the state, beautiful stadium. It ain't the biggest by far, but it may be the nicest.

Is this Stadium on Campus? It sure could help bring in some good MAC Caliber recruits in.

Yeah, THAT'S the important thing to take away from this...:blah:

They already have one of the nicest field houses in the country, and the stadium is literally right behind...and, yes, it IS right on campus.

My seats are 2/3rds of the way up, right on the 45, aisle seats...

I was unaware there was ANYTHING important to take from this. Jut not often a telemarketing company gets the naming rights to a stadium. Oh well, carry on with your bitterness.

Infocision is a pretty big employer in this area. The owner is alum. Makes perfect sense...

And how am I being bitter? I'M not the one pooping on the parade here...I'm happy my school has a new stadium. Will it help them beat Penn State? No, but it will probably help them beat Kent State, and as a mid-major, that's what we're interested in.

You take it as I was making a negative comment instead of just simple surprise. Not sure ketchup has the same negative connotations that telemarketers have, but if that wasn't surprising to you either, carry on.

If expressing surprise over the naming rights is jacking a thread, I guess I'm a hi-jacker. It was simply surprising that a University would allow a telemarketing company to purchase the naming rights to a stadium, in my humble opinion. That's all it was. Your response was bitterness to an innocent head scratching comment. N not everything is as personal or insulting, some things are just simply interesting. Like I also said, whatever works to get a stadium.
