no doubt in my mind......they will run 80 percent of the time in the first half.....and it will be successful against this seahawks defense......we are going to out physical them and play ball control.....dont be surprised if jerome gets 25 to 30 carries and starts the game.

I think that is very optimistic. I agree that they will run the ball more, I see about a 60-40 split. I think they will do the same thing, if they stack the line we will pass for a while until we can back them off, however, their secondary isnt the greatest so if they come up to stop the run and leave our receivers one on one with their secondary we will pummel them. I think once we get them backed off, which may not take too long, if they dont start the game backed off, we will run the ball consistently. I see Bettis playing a considerable role also in his farewell game.

Wait let me guess his response... Bettis is too old, wahed up and not productive...

But little does anyone look at the situations when we bring him in, goalline and short yardage. What do you want the guy to do, but 80 yds with 10 guys in the box. There is not one other running back throughout the history of the game that I would want on my team if it was 3rd and inches.

We shut Portis down 3 weeks ago. You think we can't stop the run?! Based on what???

Cowher would be an idiot to let Bettis have 30 carries. But it's been his M.O to get caught up in sideshows, so one can only hope....

I have an idea- why not try an on-sides kick to start the game off?

We will run a lot as in the past but we will also balance out wit passin. Bettis will come in again as his role of punchin it into da end zone aka da BUS stop. Earlier last week it was mentioned that da seahawks O-line avg. weight is 250-275 lbs. Bettis weighs 250 lbs. and he knows how to use it. Once you get da momentum he does......well you can either ride da BUS or get run over. Also Willie Parker will be doin a lot of da run as well and hes F-A-S-T. Don't expect you can just line up hard and stop either, Cowher is to smart to play into that. If we run we gonna make da seahawks run.....after us.

Bettis is a short yardage RB - The Steelers wont be able to run 80% of the time - if teams decide to stop the run - they can pretty much do it, especially if they are good enough to reach the SB.

Im going to go ahead and be surprised if Bettis gets 25-30 carries - he does not have the ability or stamina to bring that sort of game.
