my Valentine's Day...
 

my friend Liz and I wanted to do something different (and leave campus!) for Valentine's day since neither of us have boyfriends, so we decided to go check out the International Auto Show in Pittsburgh. to make a long story short, it wasn't as interesting as last year's but Chukki Okobi (#56) was there signing autographs. he was nice but pretty quiet. I felt bad he had to be there on VDay, there was a lady with him, I'm assuming his gf.
after we left we went over to the Mall at Robinson. we were just kind of wandering around and I noticed Greg Warren (long snapper, #60) walking away from Starbucks. I didn't want to bother him but stopped him just for a few seconds to say congratulations and introduce myself. he was very nice and didn't seem to mind. lol I don't know how I knew who he was but somehow I did...my roommate's boyfriend told me I probably made his day since he probably doesn't get recognized a whole lot, so I hope I did :smile:

so I guess it wasn't too bad of a Valentine's Day since I met two Super Bowl champions.. :bouncy:

no, I didn't even think of that. I just felt bad that I bothered him (even tho he said I didn't) and just kinda introduced myself, congratulated him and then let him go. my friend was like "Mel, that could've been your chance to date a Steeler!" lol

Its a well known fact that professional atheletes HATE being recognized and complimented by pretty young women.
