Delete button please
 

I do wish there were a way for non-mods to delete their own posts when they realize either that they have double posted or posted redundantly. Or, as with Vinny and Warden, they might read their own posts and suddenly be horrified, and will want to take it all back. It could happen.

I do think that after a given period - say, 12 hours - one should have to own one's words. But before that one could easily recognize any of a number of errors meriting deletion. Thank you.

Have you tried to switch your editor under Edit options? If you go to the very bottom of your edit options page, choose the enhanced interface option. If you've already done that, or it doesn't work, then I guess you're just screwed. Think of it as just another power I have over you. :chuckle:

Like the fact that you (and the Flying Spaghetti Monster) can watch me... you know... doing things... whenever you want isn't enough? Is there no limit to the abuses here?

im surprised regular members can not delete there own posts on this site because everyother forum i am a member of people can

I'm still not sure if it's only me, since neither MoP nor anyone else replied. So far it's just you, Tony and Mom who can for sure.

I switched my editor as Mom suggested, by the way, but I can't detect any difference. Should the "full" editor look different?

Since I'm perfect, I've never had the need to delete a post. Wish I could help though. Sorry.
