CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 18, 2005) -- The Carolina Panthers say linebackers coach Sam Mills has died from intestinal cancer.

I remember Sam well. He was a warrior who always came to play. He never was the most talented or flashy, but he always got the job done.

look in the dictionary under "players who didn't care they got paid" and there was Mills. The franchise does owe him a strong tribute. RIP God Bless

I have so much respect for this guy, 5'9 and still was great, gettin cut from the clevend browns and the CFL, he's amazing. He was always a great guy too, reminds me of hines ward. they are the same style

Not to mention when he played for the Saints, or the aints at the time, they had a all pro lineup of linebackers, reminded me of the Steelers every year for the last 30 years
