The part about "redding up" gave me a smile..
I've been out of the area for about 20 years, & still use that phrase. The Floridians never know what the hell I'm talking about, I always have to explain it.

I've lived away from Pittsburgh for almost 20 years now. I still love going to the deli here and saying. I'd like a pahnd of chipped ham. They look at me with that confused puppy dog face. LOL!

I wish I could move back home! Yes I still think of Pittsburgh as home.

Not the physiques, just the attitude, class and personalities of the two. Close though. :bouncy:

Hopefully someday I can gain the physique of Teddy Brushci, but that would mean I would have to pump my body full or roids and then have a "stroke".

You can remember shopping at Joseph Horne Co. and Gimbels (sadly soon to add "Kaufmann's" to this list).
You can remember taking the streetcar "dahntahn".
You can remember going to see a winning Pirates team.

One thing that is terribly annoying about this area is the incredible amount of overweight cigarette smokers. A lot of my extended family is exactly like this. I work for a health insurance company (would like to leave). People complain about the cost of health insurance. Well, it wouldn't cost so damn much if people ate better, drank less and didn't smoke.
