New type of block introduced in today's game

Did anyone happen to notice that it is now ok to trip a guy from behind ? On the play before the Ravens pass for their third TD, Casey Hampton broke loose and was running towards Flacco all alone in the field. Then a Baltimore player ran up from behind him and attacked the back of his legs. Somehow these two Wilderbeasts all alone in a sea of green were missed by the refs and the once former lineman Dierdorf who I would presume know what blocking is.

The same thing happened to Timmons. He was tackled by the ankles and pulled to the ground.

Didn't you know there are Goodell's "special" rules for Steelers opponents.

I saw that play and was yelling that the refs couldn't have missed it. How do you miss a guy that is 380 lbs getting his legs taken out by a guy that just dives into the back of his knees when they are alone in the middle of the field?

How about the low hit near Ben's knees? If that were Marcia Brady, Goodell would have run on the field with a baseball bat and assualted Suggs.

Can you imagine how dominating the Steelers would be if the league allowed the refs to make the right calls during these games? It's so obvious it's getting sick.

The only real problem I have with the officiating was the low hit on Ben. Other than that, I thought all the calls were accurate. In terms of missed calls, I simply don't know.
