We have to draft a tackle in round 1 next year?
 

A bit off topic from that embarrasing lose however with Colon our for the year?

I was talkng to a co worker who is just as big of a steeles fan as I am. He says the Steelers have no choice but to get a tackle in round 1 next year. I thought this was interesting because that all comes down to how good our season is.

Do you see them taking one in round 1?

We drafted a tackle in round 2 this season, now he gets the chance to play, and I am sure he will struggle from time to time but IMO Gilbert will be very good by the end of the season.
Problem is where we draft and the talent available. My best gues is we draft one of the three following OL, DT(NT) or DB depending on where we end up in the first round.

If that's what we need, we'll most likely take a linebacker.

Nate Porter OT Boise State, to go a long with Gilbert they both come from pass happy offenses.

Steelers need to start getting the pass protecting offensive line men that can run block.

i am thinking they will BPA it on a T, NT or CB. i certainly hope they don't go WR or TE

true. i was hoping we'd take robert sands in the draft, damn bungholes got him tho.

the guy has the size to cover TE's and speed that clark doesnt have. how he hits receivers will probably draw fines but that's something we're used to anyway.

They have their starting tackles of the future on the roster already in Gilbert and Colon. They don't need a first round talent there right now, especially with other needs like S, NT, CB, and G.
