Week 2 Game Ball
Who gets yours this week and why?
I'd have to give mine to Sanders. A lot of people played very well today, but his performance just stood out to me. Ward's tippy toe catch was still one of the biggest highlights for me though. |
Re: Week 2 Game Ball
I'm going to say Wallace. the last 2 weeks proved that he's not just a 1 trick pony, but a complete receiver.

Re: Week 2 Game Ball
Wallace had a big day. My game ball goes to William Gay. On a more serious note he actually didn't play bad. Nothing close to a game ball but at least he didn't get burned.
Considering that a lot of Ben's throws were high I'd have to go with Wallace or that slow old man Hines for the really sweet catch he made. I'm sticking with Wallace. His fingertip grab was awesome and trumped Hines'. |

Seahawks because they just suck that badly and won us the game. I don't think we really did much out there :S

Re: Week 2 Game Ball
I thought we had a lack luster day on both the offensive and defensive fronts when it came to passing situations, although the defense definitely started showing up more in the 2nd half in that regard
And even though Ben had a good day on paper, he should have had an excellent day as even though he was a solid 22-30 he did have several passes going too high and seemed to be a little off rhythm Our running game wasn't bad, but also nothing particularly spectacular. Special teams was also commendable, although a missed FG (albeit into the troublesome open end of the stadium) and a few punts that resulted in touchbacks could have been better, however for the most part coverage and returns were excellent. Really, if a game ball goes to anyone it would have to be to one of the WRs Brown had a good game returning the ball on kicks and made several solid catches for good chunks of yards Sanders was also in on a handful of big plays including the excellent gadget play where he completed a 15 yard pass with a very good looking throw Hines didn't have a spectacular day, but he did have an absolutely amazing sideline tip-toe catch but if I have to give it to just one WR it would have to be Wallace, he not only had the big stats, he also had some of the best plays, the deep ball catch, the fake short and go to the corner of the endzone TD catch, and a few other plays that show he's developing a good rapport with Ben to exploit weaknesses in the defense |

Yeah, we didn't do anything.:banging: We have our work cut out for us but to say you didn't see anything good is just plain wrong! |
Re: Week 2 Game Ball
i would give the game ball to one of the WR's as well. They all had a good day, but Wallace stood out. Ben had a good game as well, with no really big mistakes, I loved seeing that.
I also notice that the special teams coverage is much improved. there were a lot of good things to take away from this game. |
Re: Week 2 Game Ball
I'm going to go with Mike Wallace also, the running game wasn't too shabby either and with some help from the O line today Redman or Mendy may have had a better shot at getting the game ball
