TRADE DOWN MOCK DRAFT
I said I wouldn't do another mock because it gave me a headache but this came together pretty easy assuming the team trades down to the bottom of the first or early in the 2nd giving us 4 picks in the top 3 rounds.
2a Bobby Massie, OT, Ole Miss 2b Bobby Wagner, ILB, Utah State -safer pick then Kendricks in my opinion. 3a Brandon Brooks, G, Miami of Ohio alt. Amini Silatolu alt any Guard! 3b Markelle Martin, S, Oklahoma State -the range of Ed Reed, but not the hands yet. 4 Ronnie Hillman, RB, SD State -5'9" stocky, fast. alt Cyrus Gray, Robert Turbin 5 Hebron Fangupo, NT, BYU -the trendy pick and makes sense. 6 Toney Clemons WR Colorado -don't wait grab the Antonio Brown magic again. 7a George Bryan, TE, N.C. State 7b J.R. Sweezy, DE N.C. State 7c Julian Miller, OLB West Virginia -another good prospect at the position 7d Keshawn Martin WR Michigan St. -Slash type + very good return man. My personal bias toward taking a safety early when the team has shown no indication whatsoever will probably be my downfall so here would be the top 4 picks geared more toward the Steelers immediate needs. 2a Jerrell Worthy NT -probably the safest pick for a NT in the draft. 2b Bobby Wagner ILB 3a Brandon Brooks G or best G left. 3b Mitchell Schwartz, OT, California or Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois |
Re: TRADE DOWN MOCK DRAFT
i would be happy with this ... but i think if they take a safety it will be the one from Mich. State ... they really liked him ...

Re: TRADE DOWN MOCK DRAFT
It might be more realistic that Trenton Robinson from Michigan State would be more available to them even in the 4th round giving them a chance to maybe grab a better RB in round 3. But reading up on Robinson and Martin, Martin seems the more physical with the bigger hits, with a lot of range and academic smarts. They probably won't address safety early at all though, but I hope.
