Forum input and diiscussion

Hello everyone!

We've been working on the forum a little, just trying to improve on things a little. One thing we've done is add a new forum, "The Strip District". It's an adult forum, and requires moderator confirmation, so if you'd like a V.I.P. pass, contact a moderator!

We're always looking to improve your experience here at SteelersFever, and we want your opinions. To develop some sort of consensus, I've decided a member input thread would be the best way to fulfill this. Please give us your thoughts, ideals and opinions on how to improve SteelersFever.com for the benefit of the community!

Thanks so much for taking the time. We're working to make your experience here at Fever the best it can possibly be, and this is the best way to determine what can be done.

Nate.

I'm nearly done swapping in the new coding for it, just need to make sure Ricardo's able to replace the current coding before I put the finishing touches.

The website (frontpage) is beyond outdated and poor looking. With the internet now in HTML5 it's time to make use of it. I would also recommend upgrading the forums to the 4.2.0 version of VBulletin and get a brand new skin done. Hopefully you guys can pull it off and bring Steelers Fever into the future.

We took the first step by moving the website to it's own dedicated server over the past couple of weeks, i'm sure you've noticed the downtime we've had. I've been updating the html in my spare time, and i'll put in a bid to Matthew, the site owner, to update the forum version to a newer model.

Thanks for your input!

EDIT: Also, keep in mind that the homepage version that's up right now isn't correct. In the migration to the new server, something got screwed up. It's a version from pretty far back, and we're aware of it. I've told the site owner, and once we've finished ironing out some of the troubles within the forum caused by the migration, we'll move our attention back to the homepage.

Nice moving to a dedicated server will improve everything greatly, and glad to see improvements are being made!

Yes, things should run much faster now that we're on our own server. The website actually crashed due to the stress it was putting on the shared server, thus we made the decision to move to a dedicated network. The website will be moving forward, and taking strides towards a fresh, new look in the coming months.

We hope to have things looking good before the start of the season.

Thanks for your input!

Awesome! Might take you up on that if we need a new theme, and don't be a stranger! I noticed you haven't rally posted since '09 :chuckle:
