Is that you Mr. Sununu?:chuckle:
Romney Surrogate Calls Obama Un-American Stoner

He has no idea how the American system functions, and we shouldn't be surprised about that, because he spent his early years in Hawaii smoking something, spent the next set of years in Indonesia, another set of years in Indonesia, and, frankly, when he came to the U.S., he worked as a community organizer, which is a socialized structure, and then got into politics in Chicago....I wish this president would learn how to be an American.

Mitt Romney says entrepreneurs need government to start businesses

Imagine if President Obama said this:

There are a lot of people in government who help us and allow us to have an economy that works and allow entrepreneurs and business leaders of various kinds to start businesses and create jobs. We all recognize that. That's an important thing.

Or if he said this:

I know that you recognize that a lot of people help you in a business. Perhaps the banks, the investors. There's no question your mom and dad. Your school teachers. The people that provide roads, the fire, and the police. A lot of people help.

Republicans would go nuts, right? Fox would go on a 72 hour nonstop bender on the evils of Obama's socialism. Rupert Murdoch would be tweeting in fear from the safety of Dick Cheney's bunker.

But those aren't President Obama's words. They're Mitt Romney's. And they aren't from a few weeks ago or a few months ago or a few years ago. He said them today, and he said them while falsely accusing the president of having said that "if you've got a business, you didn't build that." President Obama said no such thing. His actual words:

Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.

So "that" was "roads and bridges." Not your business. The larger point he was making, in his own words:

When we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.

Things like investing in roads and bridges, creating fire departments and police forces, and having public schools. In other words, the exact same things that Mitt Romney talked about today. But don't expect President Obama to demand an apology from Romney for stealing his words. After all, there's still that whole Obamneycare thing they need to work out.

Of course we all knew that's what he was saying, but it's a lot easier to post a headline, twist his words, and use childish profanity in order to make a false point about something the President didn't even say. But when you have pent up frustration about the guy in the WH not having an R in front of his name (cause those guys can't do any wrong, right ), that's all you have to resort to.

Sorry Bush boy, but your phony outrage doesn't hold water here. Of course, you already knew what Obama was saying, but using profanity helps everyone to believe you're this conservative internet "tough guy". :couch:

"This come from a guy who has never had a real job his entire life."

Oh, I see. So being a lawyer, a Senator, then President don't count as "real" jobs. So what is a real job? Oh wait, don't answer that.

Obama wasn't on the farm with his maw and paw tending to dem cattle and chickens drinking buur with da boys with Kenney Chesey in the background. Yea, anyone who doesn't do this hasn't had a "real" job. (My goodness, let's hope he didn't go to college, wouldn't want him to think the world was round or anything).

Now go back to FOX, re-analyze your talking points, and try again. Oh yes, and this time, tell us how your precious Bush was a fiscal conservative and how he did nothing wrong. :coffee:

Is it NOT possible for you to engage in debate without flame baiting and poking the bear with a GIANT ****ING STICK. Seriously, grow the hell up. I've yet to see you even ATTEMPT to carry out a respectful debate or discussion, no matter the subject. I'm feeling awfully generous, and you have the looks of a guy ready to be sent on a vacation, if you get my drift.

So minus the extraneous commentary, this is what Obama's point was, as posted "When we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together."

Even I got that from the OP linked article. I think it's really reaching for the whole "you didn't build your own business, someone else built it" line of thinking.

Exactly. He even used the word individual in his statements.

Lol, this is comical at this point. Your OP has already been debunked, but instead you'd rather keep purporting something that he didn't say. And it's clear to anyone what he said. Not only did it say it, he re-emphasized it. Continuous false claims about that speech doesn't make it true. Everyone but you sees exactly what he was saying. But if that makes you feel better...................................:coffee:

Just a thought.

Since I built my own home, at least I thought I did, and it happens to be by a road does that mean I now live in government housing?

Quote:

And who was that somebody?

When was the last time you seen a fed laying asphalt? You say the government paid for the roads and infrastructure. Where did that money come from? It came from business owners and people who work for a living who pay taxes. Not the free loaders that live in mamas basement and sponge of the rest of us tax paying people.
Without the business's that we didn't build there would be no employees and nobody paying taxes. Without those there would be no government money for your free handouts.
