Its all about the tire breaker at the end of the season,
they already beat us and if we end up with the same
record in the end, THEY WIN.

pretty sure he is talking about denver. patriots already have the #1 seed in the playoffs locked up. just check their schedule.

steelers will likely be playing for the 5th or 6th and final seed like we did last year (with a 12-4 record no less)

I believe he was talking about Denver. Therefore, if NE beat Denver, it would be less likely that they (Denver) would have the same record as us.

I am completely assuming, though, as this was a very vague post with too many "they"s thrown in there.

Indeed, if Denver and Pittsburgh both end up fighting for the #6 seed and
they share identicle records, we stay home.

we'll be lucky if we even make the playoffs. Although we had a few individual standouts yesterday, once again, it was far from impressive.

Now it makes sense! However, I have a feeling this year is an all or nothing sort of year. Either we take the division, then take care of business in the post season, or we go home early.

It could all boil down to the team flying under the radar as well: San Diego. The 5th or 6th seed could be between us, Denver or San Diego. We already lost to Denver, but San Diego lost last night and we play them in December so that could be a humungous game with playoff aspirations.

That said, we still have yet to play any divisional foe. If we can split Balty and Cincy, we have a good chance at winning the division IMHO.
