Green Party candidates arrested at debate

maybe a stunt to get some press for the greenies? :noidea:

Quote:

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) Police say the Green Party candidates for president and vice president have been arrested at the second presidential debate.
Nassau County, N.Y. police say Jill Stein, the Green presidential nominee, and Cheri Honkala, the vice-presidential nominee, were charged with disorderly conduct as they tried to enter the debate site at Hofstra University.
The Green Party says in a statement that Stein and Honkala were walking with supporters toward the Hofstra campus Tuesday afternoon when they were met by uniformed police officers. Stein and Honkala then held an impromptu press conference in which Stein called the debate a "mockery of democracy."
A third person was later charged with disorderly conduct.

They tried to get in, they got arrested. If it was a stunt, good for them. They need to do more of that to crack the press blackout.

This is pretty much what third party candidates are left with at most levels of government. I remember years back here in CA Grey Davis told the networks that if Peter Camejo was allowed in the building - not the debate, of which he was already locked out - that the event would not happen at all. Camejo got arrested for unlawful trespass, if memory serves. God bless Amerika.

Trotskyites have no place at the American political table.

Now to get rid of that stalinist rat bastard that occupies the White House and get the Republic back to the business at hand.

Stalinist? Really? Let's run down our Stalinism checklist, shall we:
  • rapid and forced industrialization... nope.
  • socialism in one country... No, all of these bozos are internationalists. There is no USA as far as they are concerned. So, nope.
  • a centralized state... Yes, but only for tax collection. Last I checked it was the Republicans trying to mandate state laws from above, mostly on social issues.
  • collectivization of agriculture... Yes. United States of Monsanto.
  • subordination of interests of other communist parties to those of the Soviet party... Kind of. If you replace "Soviet" with "Republican", the only party that matters to Obama or anyone else in Washington.
