Ike and Willie sound very defensive
Ike and Willie are right, there shouldn't be any finger pointing. But I wonder if they are speaking generally, or if they both realize that most of those knuckly digits would be pointing at them.
These two would do well to humbly accept they have to play better instead of coming off like Frank Burns every time a mic is shoved up in their kisser. "The easy thing to do now is to start pointing fingers," guard Willie Colon said. "I've never been on a team that did that. That's what losers do. We're not losers in here." It's easy to get that way when you're getting kicked while you're down. They're making big money, and playing poorly. The media(And the fans) are all over their shit. They just need to keep their heads down and get to work, and ride it out until the team can turn things around.

Re: Ike and Willie sound very defensive
it depends who's pointing the fingers. If he's talking about teammates pointing fingers, he's absolutely right. There's no room in the locker room for that kind of behavior and it shouldn't be tolerated.
I think he knows that the fans and media are going to point fingers and blame players for playing poorly. Nothing can be done about that. |
