The guys at EA Sports REALLY need to learn how to spell...

So I'm sitting back watching the Hall of Fame game, and a commercial for Madden 07 comes on...and they clearly don't know how to spell. I captured this photo from my digital pvr:

:dang:

The last time I checked, "avallable" was spelled: A-v-a-i-l-a-b-l-e

But who knows maybe things have changed at EA Sports....

Exactly! And yet they say it in the game the way it should. They're idiots...but they produce a great game lol.

1. The max amount of characters that can be in a madden player's name is 13...Roethlisberger has 14 characters so the final "e" is taken out to make it fit. It's the same reason T.J. Houshmandzadeh is T.J. Houshmandz in the game.

2. EA has monopolized virtual football...they can do whatever the hell they want and make you like it. :blurp:

Ahhh I see, didn't know about the character issue. That's kinda lame but oh well what can you do. Oh I know, you're right; easily. They have big time. Just look at last year. They got the official NFL License last year for an abundant about of years. It's what makes the franchise infamous I guess.

the sad thing is this will only ensure a deterioration of quality. no competition means they can put out a piece of crap for $59 and we have no other option if we want to play football. absolutely sucks. truthfully, i though 2k5 played WAY better than madden05

I agree 100%. I had NFL 2K5 for XBOX and it was probably one of the best football games ever. The presentation was unmatched. It even had sportcenter highlights!? That is just sick...and now Madden just teases us with like one new feature every year instead of just adding a ton of new features for a new gaming experience. I don't know....I hate but I know I'll buy the game no matter what; as I said before it's a no win situation...

yeah which sucks because they hardly care about what "consumers" want and dont want. they're just worried about making the next years addition. why? because they know no matter how much we complain and say we wont buy it...we'll stir up another 4 people that hears us complaing.

they'll sell a million every year!

the character limit is b.s.
when i bought madden 06 i saw the spellin and immediately went tot the roster and changed it. it shows up wit all 14 letters now.
also count the letters in Houshmandz. there r 10. y dint they just do the same thing they did wit Roethlisberg(e)r and make it Houshmandzad(e)h. no Bengals fan is smart enough to miss only one letter and not enough play the game because they no the Bengals suck.

for reasons for their suckage go to http://forums.steelersfever.com/showthread.php?t=11317
