Sandy lowers gas prices...well...maybe not..

being the savy consumer i am , i always try to get a feel for which way gas is going before i hit the pumps. not much point in filling up if prices are going down the next day or two...
so while i'm reading the news online i take a few minutes and do a few google "word" searches.
first i do "gasoline prices" which brings up this...

2 articles posted at the same time reporting complete opposite "facts"

then i goggled "oil prices"...and see this

I think he's making an existential statement about the ultimately ephemeral nature of the material world with its monetary concerns.
