Obama vs Romney Gameday Thread

Glenn Thrush ‏@GlennThrush The Romney campaign now saying internals attributed to their pollster Neil Newhouse showing Mitt up in Ohio, tied in WI, PA "are incorrect"

All that matters is that Gary Johnson gets 5% of the vote to end this two party madness. Obama/Romney is just the same shit in a different toilet.

REMINDER: If you punch, kick or karate chop your voting machine, it's considered a write-in for Chuck Norris.

Nate Silver, the highly-respected New York Times‘ statistician, now places Barack Obama‘s chances of winning re-election at 91.4%, and estimates the President will earn 314.4 electoral college votes. Silver predicts President Obama’s popular vote increasing to 50.9%.

I'm definitely coming back to this and see how accurate he was.

Nate Silver is either set up after tonight with a long careeer as the go to polling geek if Obama wins or will be the 21st century version of this famous photo if Romney wins

It's gonna be a long night

2012 Election Night: TV Networks, Associated Press Prepare To Call Winners

NEW YORK -- At 11 a.m. Tuesday, representatives from five TV networks and the Associated Press will head into the "quarantine room," an undisclosed location with no cell phone or Internet access.

That's where the National Election Pool -- ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox and the AP -- start sifting through exit poll data provided by Edison Research. Six hours later, staffers will be permitted to start sending data to their respective news organizations, while additional exit polls, especially on the West Coast, keep coming in.

While news outlets can begin reporting after 5 p.m. on some general trends they have observed in exit polls, such as whether voters consider the economy the most important issue in the 2012 election, they're not permitted to publish or broadcast any information that suggests which way a state is leaning until its polls close and actual vote numbers start streaming in.

Nate Silver doesn't give an opinion. He just runs the numbers. If the polls are all wrong in one direction Romney could be winning. What are the chances on that? 8.6%
