Whitlock calls out Weis
Jason Whitlock goes mainstream media and calls out Chukky Weis for being who he is...the next Chapter of the Cryin' Irish. :crying02:
Banning media. Punishing reporters. Putting the muzzle on assistant coaches. What a complete puss. You're gunning for the Heisman and National Title and this is how you respond to a little criticism.:crying01: Great to see the Cryin' Irish are back on the national stage with a puss at the helm. Never heard Pete Carroll going to the North Korea card with Soviet-Era-like supression of the press. :usa: Notre Dame fans should be proud. |

Re: Whitlock calls out Weis
The tipping point was a four-part series that examined issues related to high school quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who in April announced, in lavish fashion, he had committed to Notre Dame - arriving for a televised news conference in a white stretch Hummer limousine with a police escort.
You have to love that Notre Dame humility. Academics really do come first in South Bend. |

Sounds like Charlie is overly sensitive and should be worrying about more important things instead of banning reporters and revoking media credentials. Weis is a flash in the pan and I predict he'll be out of Notre Dame within 5 seasons or less. |
Re: Whitlock calls out Weis
Doesn't Joe Pa pull similar things at PSU?

Re: Whitlock calls out Weis
Something like this would have never happened under Lou Holtz's watch.
:yikes: I think you should pick up a copy of Under The Tarnished Dome sometime. |
Re: Whitlock calls out Weis
OK. I never knew that there were shady dealings going on under Holtz at ND, but thanks for the heads-up.

Re: Whitlock calls out Weis
It really depends on who you ask. Die hard Irish fans would dismiss that book because they'd say it was nothing more than a slam book written from one highly biased point of view. But it does bring up some troubling issues for ND fans. You might want to Google Luther Darville sometime to see what was going on at Minnesota when Holtz was there. There are also questions regarding steroids at ND under Holtz.

C'mon. Paul Hackett. Nuff said about anyone willing to work with Garrett. Mike Stoops was the guy I would have gunned for and when I heard Pete's name I went for the kool-aid. We were all wrong, Now Stoops is at Airizona and his brother is in the hot seat. Go figure. That Orange Bowl crushed Bob. GO STEELERS |
