First visit to the Burgh and first game at Heinz Field!!
I know you guys probably get these questions every day, but any responses would be greatly appreciated. My fiancé just bought me tickets to the last game of the season vs. the Browns (which starts @ 1).. And I'm just curious as to how early I should arrive at Station Square (from what I've read my best bet on parking) to snag a spot.. I will traveling about 3 hours, and leaving at 7 would put me there about 10:00 with little to no traffic, so I'm figuring I need to leave a bit earlier.. Any suggestions would be great.
Also, section 508, row FF.. Those seats pretty decent? Thanks in advance for the answers/suggestions! Steelers Nation is the best Nation! Jc |

Re: First visit to the Burgh and first game at Heinz Field!!
I just went to my first game in Pittsburgh when they played the Ravens.
One thing is to be sure to only bring your car keys on you and that's about it. If you have something that is not allowed in, they won't let you in unless you throw it away or take it back to your car. That includes a 2in pen knife. I intended to bring my digital recorder and, if I had, I would have had to go all the way back to the hotel. I know it will seem a no-brainer to the old veterans who attend a bunch of games, but a newbie like me, it was unexpected. |

I'd say to try to head there as early as possible. I normally go to Pittsburgh for one game a year (in fact I'm here right now!) and remember that gates open two hours before kickoff, so give yourself about four and a half hours to get into Pittsburgh if you're roughly a three-hour drive (traffic could be bad, better safe than sorry). Also, try to get to the stadium right as it opens seeing as it's your first game. You're gonna want to check out everything in the stadium!
