Great Job!
Mike and Matt,
Great job here at SF. I never really visited any other teams forums until this week when I went in the Bengals forum. Pretty much the same set up. But SF is so much easier to read and track. I think having a size limit to sigs and such helps alot. The bengals site wasn`t bad, just not nearly as user friendly! Thanks for a great sight! |
Re: Great Job!
I agree...great job!!!!

Re: Great Job!
Credit Mike for keeping SF running and performing at a top notch level! :nw:
And credit you all for getting this forum to where it is now, and to the great places we are heading too !! |
Re: Great Job!

Re: Great Job!
AHHHHHHHH!!! Compliments, I hate them. Thanks everyone! You're the GREATEST!!! :)
By the way, how many of you visit the main web site? I would love for you to post your comments on it. Out of all the Pittsburgh Steelers fan sites on the internet, how would you rank it? Be honest. |

I think people will rank this site based on their own interests and likes v. dislikes. So being "honest" may mean that some guys are going to say this site is by far the best Steelers site on the web while others won't like it. I guess that sounds simple enough and probably obvious. But I'll try ignoring the message board (which I like) and focus on the main page. I think the main page looks pretty good. Lots of information and links. But somehow it doesn't appear jumbled up or chaotic. At the same time, because of the vast amount of information and links, I probably skip over a few things or look for key words in the info/links and ignore the other stuff. I think it's just the brain trying to find a short-cut to the information I'm looking for/interested in. When including the message board, this site appeals to my interests as far as type of conversation goes. It is a pretty active message board considering where we are in the off-season. The "Blast Furnace" probably helps that out some. Definitely a lot of good posters who are or are not Steeler fans. This site reminds me a lot of burghsportsguys.com and maximumgrilledsteelers.com as far as the conversation goes. Not overly optimistic and not overly pessimistic. I should add that I see steelersfever.com as analytical while remaining realistic and fun. |
Re: Great Job!
Thanks for the critique. I appreciate it. The downloads section is one of our hottest pages in terms of traffic. I just added two more wallpapers and a lot more AIM buddy icons. Be sure to check them out. Regarding the layout, if you're having trouble finding anything you can use the search tool that I added beneath the featured story at the top right of the page. I'm proud to say that not only do we offer news headlines daily, but we publish our own unique editorials.
If anyone else has anything to say I would love to hear it! |

I love the site! The front page is great, and is one of the better looking and more informative I have seen for any team. I think the whole site is user friendly. When it comes to the forums it is obviously the best Steelers site on the net, and I am sure it is one of the best overall. I really only like the forums that use the same format as SF....... like Cincy.com or the NFLforums. I really like that set-up. I have nothing negative to say about SF. Although, I would like to have a Shout Box in the forums for casual conversation not worthy of a thread......like saying "what up" when people log-on......you know like small talk stuff. |
