Forums split

If the idea of a politics or a politics and religion forum gains traction, it needs to have blast furnace type rules with the same warning.

I'm not going to support personal attacks in any forum outside of the Blast Furnace. I've seen other forums use these type of rules, and I've seen forums award Politics it's own forum, and i'm not impressed with the quality of discussion elsewhere on some forums that do that. Read some of the replies in the Political Forum voting thread. They gave me and all the other administrators a few good reasons as to why we shouldn't change things, especially if they're not broken.

A lightly moderated portion of the forum as passionate as politics will simply result in grudges leaking out elsewhere on the forum, and it's just not smart. We have plenty of moderators so I feel the need for a lightly moderated forum is unnecessary.
