Re: Question (2nd Amendment related)

Responsible gun owners will have their guns locked away with the ammo stored separately, with little or no chance to retrieve it. As you'll probably read in any list of comments about this, she'd have had to expected this guy to break in, and have been waiting for him for the gun to be of any use.

This isn't a gun rights issue. It's an issue of this guy being a scumbag and needing to be put away for a long, long time.

That answer is too well thought out for visceral threads.

Wrong.

A. She could have just as easily been upstairs where the weapons are stored when he first broke in and saved herself a serious beating from this animal in front of her 3 year old son.

B. She could have made a break for the upstairs and potentially locked herself and her child in her bedroom while getting the gun at some point during this attack had that option been available to her.

C. Without a gun, this is all a completely moot point, as all she could do is lay there and get her face beat in and hope he didn't kill her.

D. This is as good example as it gets in favor of home defense to anyone sane. In another situation, though similar, she may have had a sister, or older son, or someone else upstairs capable of retrieving the weapon the put a bullet in this monsters head.

E. Not everyone lives five minutes away from a police car. In rural areas, it can be a 15 minute (or longer) wait for the police, even if one is able to call them, at which time her entire family could be killed.

I realize this is hard for some of you, and that some of you, no doubt, feel that this attacker is not an attacker but actually a "victim of racism and a racist society" which causes him to act like this, and that in such a racist society, this poor woman is actually the aggressor, having supported a racist white societal structure her entire life, and thus has no right to defend herself.

Yep I think it's like that everywhere. Like I said in a different thread it's like black friday around here when a store does get some in stock, they have it hide behind the customer service counters where you have to ask for your ration.

Yup...he said how thankful he was to just get a box. It's not the stores fault...they only got 5 boxes of .22 ammo in their last shipment. They're just tying to make it fair for everyone.

I don't think people understand how much bullshit this is though. Liberals bitch about people being able to buy (in the past) 6k rounds of ammo online. They don't realize how much ammo it takes to be proficient with a firearm though. They want responsible gun owners, but they don't want them to have any ammo to become responsible. They don't realize that you can go through a half K of ammo at the gun range target shooting.

He still can't find reasonable prices on 9mm ammo.
